“Hot Haus” Got Renewed For Season 2 by OUTtv!
From Topher Cusumano, the queer-inclusive and sex-positive reality competition show Hot Haus has been renewed for a season 2. I’m looking forward to meeting the next batch of Hotties!
As a fan of the Hot Haus series, I’m glad the show got picked up for another installment. I’m not familiar with the metrics that OUTtv uses to determine a show’s success. I’ve seen the show be talked about online, but OUTtv didn’t share any definite streaming numbers (from what I could find). That’s why, when episode 6 of Hot Haus aired in February, I was a bit worried about the chances of such a series coming back.
Anyway, my concerns have been addressed. I’m more than ready to welcome a new batch of Hotties (what the contestants are called) as they compete to win the title of the Next Queer Sex Symbol. Fantasia Royale Gaga was the winner of season 1. The rest of the Hotties were Saint Anique, Sapphire, Alex, Juju Minxxx, Kash Dinero, and Sevndeep.
The announcement for the Hot Haus season 2 renewal was accompanied by a video on Twitter featuring the iconic Tiffany Pollard sharing that submissions were currently open for the season 2 casting. Pollard served as the host of season 1 with the judges being CupcakKe, Matt Camp, and Nicky Monet.

If you are a fan of a queer content creator whom you would like to see on the show, nudge them towards sending an application! The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2022. The second season is supposed to air sometime later this year.
I reacted to the first three episodes of Hot Haus season 1 (six episodes in total) over on The Geekiary’s YouTube channel. The first season went on to be warmly received by the queer community due to not only being fun, but also for tackling some important narratives dealing with queer identity, creating a supportive queer community, transphobia, conventional beauty standards, and so much more!
There’s a reason Hot Haus season 1 was an honorable mention in my ‘Top 9 Well-Written Queer Content Recommendations‘ article I wrote to celebrate The Geekiary’s 9th anniversary.
Fans also loved how the eliminated Hotties weren’t asked to leave the show. Instead, they hung around as additional members on the judging panel. Such a creative decision is something that many fans of the long-running RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise would like to see happen, too.
So, yeah, while we wait for Hot Haus season 2, I would urge you to binge-watch the first season over on OUTtv.
And if you’ve already watched it, let me know your thoughts!
