Introducing The X-Files Vinimates Mulder & Scully from Diamond Select Toys
In case you’re sad about the The X-Files revival’s season finale being upon us, here’s something to cheer you up — Diamond Select Toys has announced a new set of Mulder and Scully Vinimates figures, the first X-Files figures in the Vinimates line.
From the Diamond press release:
X-Files Vinimates Classic Mulder & Scully Vinyl Figures
A Diamond Select Toys release! The truth is out there, and the truth is that The X-Files rules! Celebrate 23 years of The X-Files with these two classically-styled Vinimates vinyl figures. Designed in the Minimates block-figure style, these 4-inch static figures depict Agents Mulder and Scully in their original-series appearances, with their arms crossed, as if daring the world to give them a mystery they can’t solve. Each figure features a ball-jointed neck, and comes packaged in a full-color window box.
The figures should be out in stores this week.
The revival season of The X-Files had a strong debut, with around 16 million viewers, and a 6.1 in the 18-49 demo, and subsequent episodes, while a bit lower, continued to remain strong. The revival also broke worldwide ratings records, with over 50 million viewers. So it seems likely we’ll get another series, and see more X-Files action figures and tie-ins.
Looking forward to getting your hands on the Vinimates Mulder and Scully figures? Any theories on how much more of The X-Files we’re going to get? Let us know in the comments.
