Sandra Bullock to Star in All-Female Ocean’s Eleven Reboot!

I have to admit that I was never a fan of the Ocean’s Trilogy. I’m not saying that it is not an enjoyable series; I’m just saying that it never piqued my interest. However, new reports about an all-female line-up reboot of Ocean’s Eleven has certainly made me curious.

According to The Playlist, Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock will be the lead in the film that will star other actresses making up the team of thieves. The move comes due to the creative partnership between Bullock and George Clooney, which also produced the Bullock starrer Our Brand in Crisis, with Clooney serving as producer.

Gary Ross of The Hunger Games and Seabiscuit fame will serve as director for the reboot. There haven’t been any other casting news regarding the project, so go ahead and come up with your own dream team for the upcoming film.

While news about an all-female reboot is exciting and similar to the all-female Ghostbusters movie, I’m more interested in possible diversity. How many different women of color will the new reboot show being part of the main team? Also, with Bullock’s role being similar to Clooney’s, will the script writers allow her Tess Ocean to remain a female? I hope so! Or will there be a thing between her and the female version of Rusty Ryan?

I’ll keep you all posted about more news regarding the reboot as it is released. In the meanwhile, what do you think of the all-female reboot of Ocean’s Eleven? Who do you wish to be cast in the film? Let us know!
