‘Star Wars’: Galactic Starcruiser Q&A on Twitter!
On March 1st, 2022, Walt Disney World will reveal a Star Wars experience that has been years in the making. Billed as a companion piece to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience adds immersive and interactive events over a two-day luxury space cruise.
I received an invite to attend the Star Wars: Galatic Starcruiser preview by Disney. The opinions I have shared are my own.
As soon as your launchpad embarks onto the Halcyon – operated by the Chandrila Starline – you are immersed into an adventure that requires YOU to be successful. The attention to detail will leave any diehard fan speechless. From the mind of both Disney Imagineers and LucasFilm Ltd., the collaboration has thought of everything that Star Wars fans of any background can enjoy.
I consider myself more of a Trekkie, but I became more interested in Star Wars after watching Star Wars: Visions on Disney+. I love anime so it was the perfect intro into the Star Wars terminology and canon. Either way, there was always someone on hand to help me figure out what to do next. Really, the customer service and congeniality were superb from the captain to the services and staff.
There are missions and opportunities to interact with the ship’s crew to solve a mystery. You’ll also be treated to performances by Gaya during the dinners served in the luxurious Crown of Corellia which features foods found all across the galaxy, from Blue Milk to Bantha steaks and Felucian shrimp. You’ll also participate in lightsaber training and have the chance to make your own lightsaber or droid during your visit to Blackspire Outpost on Batuu.
The Galactic Starcruiser experience is a packed two days that will leave you happy no matter how much you’re into Star Wars. In fact, if you bring an open mind and a passion for creativity and immersion, the Galactic Starcruiser experience is definitely worth it!
