The 10th Anniversary “LOL Surprise: Plush Surprise” Collectible Line Review

MGA debuted the LOL Surprise Plush Surprise collectible doll line as part of the LOL Surprise 10th Anniversary celebration. And I’m here to share my opinions on the bag-charm-esque doll.

I was provided with the LOL Surprise Plush Surprise doll mentioned in this post for free for review. The opinions I have shared are my own.

I was interested in checking out the LOL Surprise Plush Surprise collectible line of dolls from the moment I saw the PR email in my inbox, which I proceeded to write about. These little dolls were meant to be displayed as bag charms or keychain accessories, meaning they were supposed to be durable enough to face the outside world. Not only that, this was the first line supporting the new face sculpt introduced for LOL’s 10th Anniversary.

So, yay, to receiving one of 6 dolls in the series!

I got Cinna-Bun, and as the name suggests, my plush doll was wearing a rabbit-inspired plush outfit. The packaging for the doll was very different from the traditional plastic ball packaging of the LOL Surprise line. The top of the box had Cinna-Bun’s rabbit ears sticking out. So, cute!

The front of the box had a picture of E-Meow Rocker on the left with Cinna-Bun on the right. Her accessories were blurred out, but you could still tell the items you would find inside the box (as well as inside the doll’s plush body). The back featured the rest of the dolls, including the two mystery figures.

Opening the box was easy. Simply tear the strip on the right side of the box and pull out the doll, as well as the two paper accessory bags. The box also included a checklist and a manual. I liked how the manual showed how to put the different accessories on the doll, depending on which one you got. For example, to put on the sunglasses, simply push the frame through the small loops on the side of the doll’s face.

Two of the accessories were hidden inside the doll, allowing for repeated “surprise” play. You could easily hide small candies or some other toy in the pockets for kids to find.

Talking about the doll, Cinna-Bun measured approximately 6 inches, with the bunny ears coming in at around 4 inches each. I really liked the softness of the plush body. And yes, I pulled on the ears to see if there would be any shedding. There was none!

The plastic portion of the doll was the cute face plate, the hands, and the shoes. The rest was all adorably squeezable. The head can rotate 360-degrees and so can the hands and the feet. The shoes don’t come off, though. I tried.

There’s a clip attached to the middle of the head, which you can use to make this LOL Surprise Plush Surprise doll act as a keychain charm or a bag charm. The clip is heart-shaped and can be opened from the top.

As for the accessories, Cinna-Bun came with heart-shaped glasses, a bow-clip, a heart-shaped balloon, and a pink outfit that was very easy to put on and “closed” at the front via a piece of velcro.

While the accessories were cool and added to Cinna-Bun’s playfully stylish personality, I would suggest removing the plastic accessories from the doll if you plan to display it as a key or bag charm. While doll is durable, the little pieces of plastic are going to be easy to lose when out and about.

The LOL Surprise Plush Surprise line of collectible dolls is definitely cute. It earns more of my points because it delivers on providing fans with soft yet durable key and bag charms.
