“The Witches of Pepperwood Bay” Volume 1 Gets October Release!

From Papercutz, The Witches of Pepperwood Bay – Volume 1 by Lisa Manuzak Wiley will be available to readers come October 21, 2025, just in time for Halloween.

The upcoming graphic novel, The Witches of Pepperwood Bay – Volume 1, follows three witch sisters tasked with keeping peace in the enchanting location of… you guessed it… Pepperwood Bay. The trio consists of Juniper, Lily, and Clover. They are the caretakers of a magical lighthouse portal that overlooks the bay.

The current adventure involves the sisters trying to find a missing enchanted teapot owned by Ms. Fiddleneck. Saving the teapot is essential to ensuring the village continues to enjoy the best brew. The narrative will feature themes of siblinghood. Numerous mythical creatures will challenge the sisters’ magical skills. Apparantly, their mission is important to keep their fantastical land safe.

“I am very excited to bring The Witches of Pepperwood Bay to the world! This story is a distillation of so many things that are special to me: family, island life, magic, and humor,” shared Lisa Manuzak Wiley. “It is a dream to work with Papercutz on my very first graphic novel, and I know that the story is in excellent hands. What started out as a personal project in my free time has blossomed into a full-fledged book, and I am so happy that Papercutz has helped make this dream a reality.”

I like the colorful art style. Juniper seems to be the eldest of the sisters. The magical world seems to include vampires, shapeshifting, and magical exams.

The dimensions come in at approximately 6×9 inches. The Paperback is priced at $9.99, with the Hardback being $14.99 for almost 120 pages of content.

As for artist and storyteller Lisa Manuzak Wiley, she was born and raised in Hawaii. Her upbringing inspired the setting and characters for The Witches of Pepperwood Bay. Along with working on numerous children’s books, she has also worked as an artist in the video game industry (Skylanders, Destiny 2).
