Exclusive: Papercutz Announces “Miraculous Chibi Halloween Special” Graphic Novel Collection for August!

Fans of the long-running Miraculous (Ladybug) IP can look forward to enjoying a collection of fun, scary stories come August 11, 2026, with the release of the Miraculous Chibi Halloween Special by Papercutz.

The Geekiary can exclusively announce that the soon-to-debut Miraculous Chibi Halloween Special has been inspired by the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir animated series, as well as the YouTube chibi shorts. The collection houses stories featuring a range of characters getting into a lot of chaos and mischief for Halloween. Of course, there are tons of costumes, too!

Written by award-winning author Jeremy Whitley (Navigating with You) and Mad Cave Studios’ 2024 Talent Search winner Molly Jones, with art by Ornella Greco, Lex Hobson, and Mari Chirchirillo, the Miraculous Chibi Halloween Special is an all-ages graphic novel collection. So, you can expect a lot of adventure, humor, and bonding moments.

Sharing more information about the types of stories inside the book, we have ‘The Curse of the Black Cat!’ which is a “tail” of mistaken identities and wounded witches. You will get to see Cat Noir being unable to find his friends in a sea of Halloween costume-wearing folks. And Marinette tries to find a magic spell to make things right after waking up with the “wrong ‘do”.

Another tale of twisted identities, we have a “What If…” scenario asking how the world would be like if Chloé Bourgeois was Ladybug.

“Halloween is my favorite time of year because for one day, you can be whatever and whoever you want to be,” shared Jeremy Whitley. “That’s extra fun with Miraculous, as every day is Halloween when you’re a superhero. But for this one night of the year, Ladybug and Cat Noir don’t seem all that different. In fact, what happens when one of their adventures gets intercepted by crowds of civilians dressed as our heroes? This one’s a lot of fun!”

“As the neighbourhood Halloween enthusiast, I was super excited to be able to work on a story for the Miraculous Chibi Halloween Special!” said Molly Jones. “I love dressing up, so I absolutely had to sprinkle a little bit of last-minute costume chaos in there for good measure. I hope these stories can get readers into a wonderfully spooky mood for the most frightful time of the year!”

While I haven’t kept up with the animated series, I’m quite aware of the narrative developments because of my little nieces being fans. Those two are also the reason behind my being aware of the animated chibi shorts. Yeah, they are going to enjoy the upcoming graphic novel collection.
