Fisher-Price “Little People – Collector Series” Offers a Cute Way to Showcase Fandom

I’ve been aware of the Fisher-Price (Mattel) Little People Collector Series. So, when I was provided the opportunity to get my hands on some of the products, I went for it. They are a cute way to showcase love for your fandom this holiday season.
I was provided with the Fisher-Price Little People Collector Series products in this review article for free. The opinions I have shared are my own.
For those who might know, the Little People line can be described as small figurines meant for kids wanting to populate their creative constructions made of plastic blocks or other playsets. However, when has the “recommended” age of something cute or cool ever stopped a geek collector? That’s where the Little People Collector Series comes in.
The LP Collector Series features a bunch of IPs, including Jurassic Park, Dr. Who, Disney, and more. The ones I received were Will and Grace, Wednesday, and Doctor Who. Keeping to the design of the more traditional Little People line, the Collector Series also depicts pop culture characters as cute figurines with a lot of detail to really do justice to the characters being showcased.
Of course, none of the figures are articulated. After all, they are primarily meant for display. Whether you want them inside the box or not is up to you. However, considering how detailed the box itself is, I would recommend you keep the figurines inside.
If you do take them out, the figures are quite durable. It’s going to take a lot of force to break them. So, you should be good if you decide to display them on a high shelf or something similar.
The figures measure approximately 2.5 inches tall, making them a good size to display basically anywhere out of the box.
Will and Grace
With the four iconic characters standing inside Will’s apartment, we get Will Truman, Grace Adler, Jack McFarland, and Karen Walker. Even though the size and pose are the same, the fun is in the details. Will is in his lawyer outfit. Grace is showing off her questionable fashion. Karen is holding a drink, duh! Jack has a mic, which might not be the best prop choice for certain fans. Even the apartment follows the design aesthetic of Little People, with the portraits inside Will’s apartment also being cutified.
As someone who grew up watching Will and Grace, this 4-pack is my favorite of the three I was sent. And yes, I have the figures (inside the box) already displayed on my bookshelf.
Wendnesday
Another 4-figure pack, we have Wednesday Addams with Thing in her right hand, Enid Sinclair, Marilyn Thornhill (with a black dahlia), and The Hyde monster. The figures are standing in front of the gates of Nevermore Academy. From Enid’s socks to Marilyn’s dress, the figures have a lot of detail. My only gripe would be how Enid’s fingers are colored instead of just the nails.
My niece was very excited about the Wednesday 4-figure pack. So, yeah, it’s hers now.
Doctor Who
This is a 6-figure pack in the Little People Collector Series. Of course, each Doctor has a distinct look and a prop in hand (except for one, which, yeah, makes sense, I guess). The box is fashioned after the TARDIS. The back has cartoony figures of the Doctors and the TARDIS over the eras. Yet another LP Collector Series I would keep inside the box.
The 6 figures include the Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth, and the Fifteenth Doctor, covering decades of Doctor Who lore for fans of different incarnations.
Here’s my video of the products!
If you are still looking for geeky stocking stuffers or cute figures to display, I would recommend checking out what the Fisher-Price Little People Collector Series has to offer.
Do you own some of them already?
