BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Returns For Part 2 July 8
Over the weekend, VIZ Media announced that BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, the latest installment of the anime based on legendary mangaka Tite Kubo’s global smash manga BLEACH, will return with Part 2 on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 will stream on Hulu in the United States, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in select countries internationally. The first episode of Part 2 will premiere at 7:30AM PT on July 8, and the simulcast will have English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Italian subtitles.
“Through his visual genius, Tite Kubo has had an indelible impact on the fandom world and the course of manga and anime history,” said Brad Woods, Chief Marketing Officer VIZ Media. “He is also a supremely gifted and accomplished storyteller, and it is a great honor for VIZ Media to acquire this final arc in his legendary catalogue BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, for fans everywhere.”
The opening song for Part 2 is “STARS” by w.o.d..
BLEACH ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, and since its first publication the series’ 74 volumes have over 130 million copies in print. The anime adaptation ran in Japan from 2004 to 2012 consisted of more than 350 episodes and four feature films and is considered one of the greatest anime of all time.
It’s certainly one of the most well-known, with a popularity that spans the entire planet. With video games, musicals and a live-action film adaptation all part of the BLEACH universe, the series is a cultural touchstone for many anime fans.
