The latest Star Wars Galaxy Box from CultureFly had the theme ‘Droids’ and it featured a bunch of apparel to keep you cozy during winter.
Everything in the Star Wars Galaxy Box Winter 2023 ‘Droids’ theme offering came in a large blue and white cardboard box fashioned after the iconic R2-D2. I continue to be a fan of the box designs from CultureFly. They look quite cool when stacked on top of each other. The interior of the ‘Droids’ box was golden with the design referencing C-3P0. There were seven items inside including four clothing items (if you consider an iron-on patch a clothing item).
I will begin by talking about the non-clothing items, starting with the sliding pin. Now, I’m not a fan of collecting pins, but I can see Star Wars fans liking the one inside this box. Measuring approximately 3 inches in length, this particular sliding pin had two pin backings and some good weight to it.
Next up, there’s an entire sheet of vinyl decal stickers featuring a variety of droids from the SW franchise. I’m not a big fan of putting stickers on walls, doors, or laptops, but I do appreciate high-quality stickers. The stickers in this set were well-detailed and nicely sized.
The ‘Diecut Wall Clock’ was a useful item featuring C-3PO and R2-D2 standing in the snow. Though this analog clock was approximately 9 inches in length, most of the space was taken up by the design with the actual time being shown on the upper right corner. You will need to put in a single battery to make it work. Also, you can hang it on the wall or place it on the table.
The body of the clock, from what I could tell, seemed to be made of some kind of wood. The hands of the clock along with the stand and battery socket were made of plastic.
The ‘Probe Droid Patch’ can be considered a filler item. But hey, I still want to share that it was well-stitched. There’s a whole of detail going on, with there being a sharp distinction between the droid and the background. And I didn’t notice any fraying.
Coming to the clothing items, which I really liked, there’s the ‘IG-88 Beanie’. The design in the front was quite clear and the beanie even had a pom-pom on the top. My only complaint with said beanie would be that the design didn’t follow through into the back. I also found it to be a bit tight on my head. Maybe it will become a bit loose with time. Let’s see.
The ‘R2-D2 Knit Scarf’ was one of my favorite items from the box. It featured R2-D2 in three different colors (brown, green, and blue) along with the Resistance Crest. The design was present on both sides of the light blue scarf, with a darker blue border. The ends ends had dark blue tassels. Measuring approximately 60 inches in length and 7 inches in width, it’s 95% Acrylic and 5% Spandex. I found this scarf to be quite soft and stretchable.
The final item, and my favorite from the box, was the ‘Holiday Crew Sweater’. This long-sleeved blue crew sweater featured a festive R2-D2 design at the front along with some snowflake-like accents. The top and bottom of the main design featured the Resistance Crest. In my opinion, the front more than made up for the back of the sweater being plain. I will definitely continue wearing this!
So, there you have it. A total of 7 items with a bunch of them ready to keep you warm and cozy during winter.
