Cut Paper Pictures Is Here to Help You Make the Collages You Want! – Book Review
Cut Paper Pictures: Turn Your Art and Photos into Personalized Collages is a new release from The Quarto Group. It provides you with all the skills, tips, and sheets of paper you need to create the collages you want.
I was provided a free copy of Cut Paper Pictures from The Quarto Group for review. The opinions are my own.
I am a fan of books from The Quarto Group because the titles I have read help you make stuff. I got some awesome tips from Beginning Manga, made cute paper birds, and now I have gotten a bit better (I think) at making collages through Cut Paper Pictures. As long as a book is able to teach me stuff which I can use to feed my geeky interests (an X-Men collage, anyone?), I’m all for it.
Cut Paper Pictures is by Clover Robin. Through her book, the talented collage artist, designer, and illustrator offers a fun lesson to help you create personalized art. She covers many aspects of collage art and all of the content is presented in a simple manner.
Robin beings with the basics of collaging. She talks about the types of paper, coloring paper, how to store scraps, finding your inspiration, and more. The Collage Themes are divided so you can move to the section you like. The themes include Flowers and Plants, Bugs and Birds, Houses, and even People. There are also chapters featuring Lettering and Patterns, and how you can build a landscape. Robin also teaches you how to create artwork from photos.
As far as my opinion goes, she covers everything there is to know for someone who has never collaged to begin right away. If you have dabbled in the art of collage before, I think you will be able to polish your skills with the information Robin provides.
The best part is Cut Paper Pictures comes with 31 perforated pages. You can just pull them out and start using them in your collage project, making everything very convenient.
Consisting of 184 pages, Cut Paper Pictures: Turn Your Art and Photos into Personalized Collages by Clover Robin is currently available for purchase.
If you want to try the art of collage or you have someone who is a fan of such artwork, I recommend picking up a copy.
