Are you running out of activities to keep the kids entertained? DC Kids FanDome on September 12 is a companion event to DC FanDome, with programming for families and children of all ages to enjoy.

Update – August 19, 2020: This article has been updated to reflect the date change for DC Kids FanDome from August 22 to September 12.

DC Kids FanDome has 24 hours of kid-friendly programming including movies, TV, games, comics, and more. This free event will be focusing on superheroes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other DC fan favorites.

According to the press release, “At DC Kids FanDome your superheroes-in-training are invited to step inside Titans Tower and immerse themselves like never before into the worlds of some of their favorite DC Super Heroes and Cartoon Network shows such as Teen Titans GO! and DC Super Hero Girls. In this free, 24-hour experience, kids can read comics, play games and explore the many rooms of Titans Tower. They can learn how to create DC LEGO® masterpieces, hone their crafting skills, and practice drawing fan-favorite characters. Our younger fans can also watch exclusive panels in the Batcave, hunt for countless Easter eggs throughout the entire experience, have one-of-a-kind interactions with DC Super Heroes, and so much more!”

I took a look at the DC FanDome schedule this morning. It’s very user friendly and easy to set up to make sure that you don’t miss a single event. Remember that DC FanDome is for 24 hours only on August 22 and September 12, so plan accordingly! Thankfully the kid programming is all in an on-demand format and it looks like the much of the regular programs will have encore sessions which will free up time for the kids to view their panels and sessions during typical “kid” hours.

No matter what your kids or the kids in your life are interested in, it looks like there will be something for everyone to enjoy in this safe, kid-friendly event. Whether they like to read, watch, build, draw, create, or explore, your kids will be entertained for hours and you can give yourself a little bit of a break as well. Sounds like a win/win to me!

The programming for DC Kids FanDome covers a variety of topics and activities. For those who love Teen Titans GO!, there is a Cast Table Read and Panel featuring voice cast members Tara Strong, Khary Payton, Greg Cipes, and Scott Menville. There’s a read-along with special guest stars featuring stories about Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, and other DC Super Heroes. There’s even a DC Karaoke session for kids to sing along to their favorite songs from DC Super Hero Girls and Teen Titans GO!

There are plenty of opportunities for kids to learn about how comics are made and even how to make their own. Some events that I think sound particularly fun are DC Origami, Teen Titans GO! Fitness, and Batman Carpool. It will be featuring what happens when multiverse Batmen collide.

I know I’ll be making some room in my DC FanDome schedule to catch some of the DC Kids FanDome events that my niece and nephew are already excited about. Below you can find the official trailer for DC Kids FanDome and you can visit DCKidsFandome.com for more information!
