FEELINGS Daily: Everything I Missed!
In case you didn’t know, I live on the east coast of Australia near Sydney. We got ravaged with a massive storm this week, which is why I haven’t been able to share any feelings. In fact, I haven’t been able to share anything, as I was without power for days. No power means no WiFi, and yes it was as bad as you might imagine! Anyway, I’ve done my best to catch up on everything I missed out on and I figured I’d do a quick rundown in case any of you have been as lost as me for the last week.
Marvel:
- Apparently the new Spider-Man is down to five possibilities including Asa Butterfield, Nat Wolff, Tom Holland, Liam James, and Timothee Chalamet. They’re all pretty boring and I’m still not super excited by ANOTHER Spider-Man movie. (via Hypable)
- Elizabeth Olsen a.k.a. Scarlet Witch has confirmed that she will be in Captain America: Civil War. (via Hypable)
- The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off will feature Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood! Now I love Bobbi Morse, but I HATE Lance Hunter, so I’m not sure how to feel about this yet. Also if this in any way affects the possibility of more Agent Carter I will be seriously pissed. (via Deadline)
- Daredevil has been renewed for a second season with a new show-runner – Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Doug Petrie. (via Buzzfeed)

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki basically drunk dialed the fandom to celebrate 10 seasons of Supernatural.
Hate to post this much but it’s a season 10 wrap and we thought we would try and capture a little memento for ourselves. Dumb idea.

Quotes:
Joss Whedon on Coulson’s resurrection!
“A lot of people come back in The Winter Soldier. It’s a grand Marvel tradition. Bucky was supposed to die. And the Coulson thing was, I think, a little anomalous just because that really came from the television division, which is sort of considered to be its own subsection of the Marvel universe. As far as the fiction of the movies, Coulson is dead.” (via Comicbook.com) http://comicbook.com/2015/04/23/joss-whedon-was-bummed-out-coulson-came-back-from-the-dead/
Hayley Atwell on what she wants to see if there’s an Agent Carter season 2:
“I’d love to learn a deep dark secret about Peggy’s past that makes us understand sort of how and why she is this extraordinary kind of ‘super’ human. I think it’s to do with her childhood, her upbringing, her family, what she’s witnessed. I think her drive was always there before she met Steve Rogers; I think Steve was a sort of catalyst for her. But I think it’s something deeper in her nature, and I’d like to explore what that is. I think she’s capable of far more than we’ve seen yet.” (via Buzzfeed) http://www.buzzfeed.com/kmallikarjuna/hayley-atwell-ultimate-peggy-stan

G. Willow Wilson had some things to say about the double standard of objectification in comics:
This whole Frank Cho thing is ironic. I have similarly sexy art involving a Famous Male Superhero on my HD that you will never see. (1/many)
— G. Willow Wilson (@GWillowWilson) April 19, 2015
It is commissioned art for a monthly comic series. The Male Superhero is asleep, and we see what I would call “tasteful butt cleft.”
— G. Willow Wilson (@GWillowWilson) April 19, 2015
He is, in other words, 1) vulnerable and 2)sexualized. Not in an over the top way. If it was a female superhero, it would have gone to print
— G. Willow Wilson (@GWillowWilson) April 19, 2015
No question. Because it was a male superhero–who is supposed to be powerful, not vulnerably sexualized–it was pulled before print.
— G. Willow Wilson (@GWillowWilson) April 19, 2015
I can’t post it and it never went to print. You know, *actual* censorship.
— G. Willow Wilson (@GWillowWilson) April 19, 2015
As opposed to a bunch of pissed off status quotidians confusing freedom of speech with freedom from criticism.
— G. Willow Wilson (@GWillowWilson) April 19, 2015
The double standard is real.
