Funko Games Reveals Four New “Indiana Jones” Board Game Adventures!
With the new live-action film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny looking at a June 30, 2023, release, Funko Games has announced four brand-new games inspired by the iconic IP.
The four games have been developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm. And with every game bringing something different to the table, you’re sure to find one that appeals to your gamer needs.
Let’s talk about the three games that are available right now!
Indiana Jones Cryptic
This title is the first in a new interactive mystery game line called “Puzzle and Pathways Adventures” from Funko Games. The “escape room” gameplay involves following clues from Dr. Jones’ journal to solve a bunch of intricate challenges spanning three separate adventures. The adventures are based on the first three films. Players will be encouraged to use their logic, deduction, and creative thinking as they make their way through tombs, temples, and more while making sure to stay away from traps and enemies.
This game is meant for ages 10 and up and can support 1 or more players. You can own it for MSRP $34.99 USD.
Indiana Jones: Throw Me the Idol!
This one has been described as a “frenetic party game” that involves physical action and card play to beat the other team. The two teams are Indiana Jones and his rival Belloq.
The gameplay involves gaining the most points by outmaneuvering the opponent in 12 challenges. Players will recreate moments from the films as they try to grab the iconic Golden Idol without being caught.
It can be played by 2-10 players, and it is meant for ages 7 and up. It can be yours for MSRP $22.99 USD.
Something Wild! Indiana Jones
This is a card game for the entire family. It also features a collectible Indiana Jones Pocket Pop! figure. You will need to play Character Cards in sets and runs to score points. The Power Cards will add new twists to the gameplay.
This set can be combined with other Something Wild! Games for a more customizable experience.
This is a 2-4 player game for ages 6 and up. You can own it for only $8.99 USD.
Indiana Jones: Sands of Adventure
The gameplay is about Indiana Jones and his friends trying to rescue the Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the wrong hands. Our band of heroes has to manage that before time runs out.
Players will need to scour ancient Tanis to find the relic while building their strength and resources along the way. You will need to face Colonel Dietrich, Major Toht, and Dr. René Belloq to save the Ark. Variable setup and unique character powers ensure the game changes every session.
It is recommended for ages 8 and up. And it is for 2-4 players. This game will become available come June 18, 2023, at Target for MSRP $29.99.
