CultureFly’s Summer 2023 Star Wars Galaxy Box “The Mandalorian Season 3” Theme – Review
Having reviewed the Naruto Shippuden and Avatar: The Last Airbender subscription boxes from Culturefly, I decided to try the Star Wars Galaxy box, too. And I have to say that the Summer 2023 “The Mandalorian Season 3” themed box was quite good.
Sticking to the theme, the latest Star Wars Galaxy box featured an image of a bunch of Mandalorians on the front cover while the sides had the show’s logo and the Mythosaur skull. The bottom of the box had a picture of Baby Grogu.
The current box included a total of eight items, which is a nice number. So, let’s go over them in no particular order.
The first item I wanted to talk about was the Jumbo Sticker (approximately 7 x 4 inches) featuring the different Mandalorian helmets and the words ‘Strength is Survival’. It’s an okay enough sticker, that you can stick on your laptop or the fridge. Personally, I consider stickers to be filler items. If a subscription box includes stickers, they better be magnetic or include a bunch instead of just one.
Then there’s the lanyard that came with a rubber Baby Grogu charm and a pass/badge holder. I liked this item. And if I ever end up going to some kind of convention that required a badge or a pass, I can see myself using it. The lanyard was black and featured the Mandalorian helmets along with Grogu’s ears.
Take note; the cartoon image of Grogu was only on the front of the charm. The back is black and had licensing and stuff.
Also, I appreciated that the plastic pouch for carrying your badge included a card featuring the Mandalorian helmets.
The box also contained a nice-looking canvas art print featuring the same image depicted on the front of the subscription box. This one came in at approximately 8 x 5.5 inches.
Frankly, I’m not a big fan of small canvas prints. But hey! If you’re into it, you can easily hang this art print in your room or display it in your office workspace.
Talking about an item I could see myself using, I really liked the dark green-insulated lunchbox. It featured an image of Grogu and Mando sitting together in a starfighter with the words ‘Ready for Adventure’ above them. It’s the same image on both sides. The top of the lunchbox rolled up (secured via velcro) and it had a black strap for carrying or hanging purposes.
The lunchbox came in at approximately 11 x 8 inches, and it’s spacious enough to carry a couple of sandwiches and a small juice box. It’s able to stand on its own. So, that’s useful.
Then there’s the cute little Grogu-themed ice pack (approximately 4 x 6 inches) that will go great with the lunchbox. The front of the ice pack showed an image of Grogu sitting in a pouch with the words ‘I’m with Mando’ above him.
The back of the ice pack revealed the tiny beads that you are supposed to freeze before using said pack.
I also got an approximately 2 inches tall epoxy pin depicting Mando and Gorgu. It’s basically the same image shown on the lunchbox. It’s an okay pin with two pin backings. So, that’s nice.
Sticking to the summer theme, the box included a ceramic tiki mug fashioned after a Mandalorian helmet. I don’t know about you, but I found this particular tiki mug to be quite huge at 5 inches tall and 16 inches in circumference. It almost felt like a planter. I guess it’s great to have for those who like to drink a lot while holding a mug with no handle (it’s a tiki mug, after all).
Having tested it out with water, it’s able to easily hold 1 liter of liquid.
The wearable was a black ringer T-shirt with orange lining on the sleeves and the neck. I liked how the front of the T-shirt didn’t have a huge design. There’s just an image of the Mandalorian helmet and Baby Grogu on the top right side.
However, there’s indeed a big image on the back of the wearable. This particular image featured three Mandalorian helmets along with Baby Grogu using the Force.
Below the four characters were the words “We’ve Got a Job to Do”.
I really liked this particular T-shirt. Truth be told, I’m a fan of Culturefly’s wearables. And yes, you will definitely see me wearing this piece of clothing in one of my YouTube videos down the line.
So, there you have it, a total of 8 items, including a bunch I will actually use.
What did you think of the Star Wars Galaxy Summer 2023 Box themed after The Mandalorian season 3?
