“Wicked 2: Wicked For Good” Gets Home Release Dates!

Fans of the live-action Wicked movies just need to wait a couple more days to access Wicked 2: Wicked For Good on Digital, come December 30, 2025. From Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, the digital release will be followed by a 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD drop on January 20, 2026.

Following the events of the first Wicked movie from November 2024, Wicked For Good returned fans to Emerald City to witness the continuing battle between good and evil, involving the Wizard of Oz and his supporters. Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now estranged, are living with the consequences of their choices.

Elphaba is still into exposing The Wizard while being considered The Wicked Witch of the West. Glinda is operating as a symbol of Good in the land, being showered with a lot of fame. However, there’s an uneasiness in her heart. Things take a major turn when Dorothy crashes into Oz from Kansas, leading Glinda and Elphaba to reunite and try and deal with everything around them, as well as their love for each other.

The upcoming release will house 2 versions of the movie, including an exclusive sing-along for fans as well as more than an hour of bonus content, such as deleted scenes and “making-of” goodness.

• DELETED SCENES – 1. Brick Making – A musical montage of the Munchkins shaping and painting brilliant golden bricks, bringing the Yellow Brick Road to life. 2. Glinda Train Tour – A citizen’s sendoff for Glinda leaving for Emerald City. It features Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, and Bowen Yang. 3. Even You, Fiyero* – A look at Elphaba wrestling with her emotions after Fiyero’s betrayal and heartbreak. 4. Return to the Governor’s Mansion* – A lost and abandoned Elphaba returns to her childhood home. 5. Friendship Montage – Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, Boq, and Nessarose spend a carefree afternoon together. 6. The Wizard is Sentimental – Glinda floats above Emerald City, with the scene contrasted with the Wizard’s nostalgic hot air balloon ascension as he reprises “A Sentimental Man.”

Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, with Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum. The Choreographer is Christopher Scott, with the Score by John Powell & Stephen Schwartz. Paul Tazewell serves as the costume designer.

Wicked – Part 2 premiered in theaters on November 21, 2025. As of writing this post, it has grossed more than $490 million at the worldwide box office against a reported production budget of around $150 million. As for the physical releases of Wicked – Part 2, the 4K UHD features Aspect Ratio: 16:9 2.39:1 Widescreen with the Sound being English (Dolby Atmos for Feature, Dolby Digital 2.0 for Bonus Content), French Canadian (Dolby Digital Plus 7.1), Latin American Spanish (Dolby Digital Plus 7.1).

The Blu-ray will be Aspect Ratio: 16:9 2.39:1 Widescreen. The Sound being English (Dolby Atmos for Feature, Dolby Digital 2.0 for Bonus Content), French Canadian (Dolby Digital Plus 7.1), Latin American Spanish (Dolby Digital Plus 7.1).

The DVD will be Aspect Ratio: 16:9 2.39:1 Anamorphic Widescreen. The Sound will be English (Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital 2.0 for Bonus Content), French Canadian (Dolby Digital 5.1).

Wicked 2: Wicked For Good has been rated PG for Action/violence, some suggestive material, and thematic material. The Approximate Runtime is 2 hours and 18 minutes.
