Here’s a look at what you can expect from the book.
Being someone who is interested in manga, and has dabbled a bit in the art style, I’m looking forward to reading and learning from Beginning Manga. From the previews that I’ve seen, the instructions are easy to follow. Sonia Leong teaches readers how to draw through the use of pencils, brushes, and pens, etc. It really does seem like a good instruction book to teach everything there is to know for a mangaka to start creating their own unique work.
Beginning Manga by Sonia Leong has been published by Walter Foster Publishing. It will be released on the 1st of September, 2016. However, you can pre-order a copy for yourself right now! It retails for $19.95 / £12.99.

A friend of mine bought it and I gave it a read, it’s a pretty nice book, she has a good perspective, and it’s unfortunate that the book wasn’t here when I first started learning. The only thing that helped my learning process is this article http://www.painterartist.com/en/pages/draw-manga/tips/ and some great tutorials I found online, and of course, a lot of practice 🙂
