IndieGoGo Campaign Launched to Make Sequel of Queer Film “Free Fall”
Free Fall 2 is a possibility and I’m dying. Check out the crowdfunding campaign that has actors Max Riemelt and Hanno Koffler on board!
When I got to know about the crowdfunding campaign for the sequel to Free Fall (or Freier Fall) I initially thought that it was fake. I’ve been hearing about a potential sequel for years, so I had my doubts, as nothing legit ever came out of it until now.
The IndieGoGo campaign is from the same production house that created Freier Fall, Kurhaus Production from Berlin, Germany. What’s great about the campaign is that the two main leads are more than willing to return for the sequel. The two actors even did a pitch video and talked about what fans could expect if Free Fall 2 is made.
Make sure to check out my review of Free Fall. It’s an emotionally draining film, but that’s part of the charm, and the drive behind fans from all over the world demanding a sequel.
I came across the film because after watching Max Riemelt in Sense8 I had a feeling there’s no way an actor such as him hasn’t played a queer role in his career. So, I went through his filmography and found this gem.
Want to know which other Sense8 actor has played a queer character before? Brian J. Smith in The War Boys.
Anyway, back to Free Fall. The initial goal is €100,000 with €3 million required for the film’s earliest release. Fans can also claim a lot of awesome perks. I do hope the team reaches its goal and fans get a sequel. I love seeing a fandom come together for a particular goal.
Do watch Free Fall and see for yourself why fans are so passionate about it. Also, share the word to make the campaign a success. Buying the film on Vimeo-on-demand also offers support to the campaign.
Have you watched Free Fall yet? Are you excited for the sequel? Let us know.
