Star Wars Build Your Own Millennium Falcon – Book Review
Star Wars Build Your Own Millennium Falcon, a title from Studio Fun, shines a spotlight on the iconic starship and lets you create a well-detailed model!
I was provided a free copy of Star Wars Build Your Own Millennium Falcon for review. The opinions are my own.
The Star Wars franchise spans generations and the Millennium Falcon is a starship everyone knows about. If you have been meaning to get a book which not only covers the history of this famous vehicle but also talks about its owners, how it works, different compartments, and more, I recommend picking up a copy.
Here’s the official description:
Read about and build the fastest ship in the galaxy with this out-of-this-world kit!
Join Han and Chewbacca aboard the fastest bucket of bolts in the galaxy. Packed with amazing puzzles and a Millennium Falcon of your own to build, there are hours of Star Wars fun to be had. Work out complete mazes, code words, and puzzles in the uniquely illustrated, full-color activity book. Then press out the pieces to create your very own mini Millennium Falcon model, perfect for re-creating famous scenes from the Star Wars saga. The model is made from a sturdy foam core. Press out the pieces to build the Millennium Falcon—with no glue required!
While I am not the biggest Star Wars fan out there, I can see this book being appreciated by Star Wars collectors or even geeky model builders. The sturdy foam core board pieces all come together, without any glue, to create a very impressive replica (measuring approximately 12 x 12 inches). It took me some time to make sure everything fit where it was supposed to, but the effort was worth it.
Just look at this magnificent thing!
It even has secret compartments! You can place LEGO Minifigures in there.
Upon opening this (very thick) book, you will see the foam core pieces on the right. On the left, you will see the pages talking about the Millennium Falcon, Han Solo, the famous events the starship was used in, a couple of puzzles, and more information. The instruction manual is present on the left, too.
Taking out the pieces is easy. They pop out with a push. No scissors required. However, I do recommend using a knife or even the handle of a spoon to help take out the pieces that are too small or have thin edges.
The pieces which need to be folded have creases. Make sure to fold them properly, otherwise, the model won’t come together correctly. Take your time and follow the instructions!
Currently available, the Star Wars Build Your Own Millennium Falcon book gives you a well-designed model to show off or even use as a gift.
