Premium audio and reading platform Serial Box will release the “anticipated” continuation of Orphan Black (BBC America and Boat Rocker Media) on September 12, 2019. It will pick up the clone’s story eight years after the events of the show.

Titled Orphan Black: The Next Chapter, biologist Cosima and her sestras, Sarah Manning and Alison Hendrix, along with other familiar (and not so familiar) faces, are forced out of their fiercely protected private lives to stop a global disaster.

Here’s a sneak peek of the audio!

Emmy award-winning star of the show, Tatiana Maslany, will be narrating the new audio series.

New York Times bestselling and award-winning authors including Malka Older, Madeline Ashby, Mishell Baker, Heli Kennedy, E. C. Myers, and Lindsay Smith are writing 10 episodes in continuation of the Orphan Black story.

The first episode will be released on Thursday, September 12, 2019, with a new episode releasing each week. After episode five, there will be a mid-season hiatus and the remaining episodes will be released starting in October.

These audio episodes will be available exclusively on the Serial Box apps available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and through the Serial Box website.

The official description reads:

Two years after the show went off the air, Orphan Black (BBC America and Boat Rocker Media) is back with The Next Chapter, which picks up the story eight years in the future and features many of the same characters. The show wrapped with the destruction of the clone program, Project Leda. Since their victory, the sestras—Sarah, Alison, Cosima, and those they love, have been free to live quiet, anonymous lives. But the cost has been high. All of them are living less-than-full lives in order to protect themselves and each other. Everything changes when the sestras discover that there are more clones out there.

Premiering back in 2013, the show concluded in 2017 after running for five seasons.
