The Loki TV Series is Coming Early!

Loki Series MCU

Our wait for the Loki TV series is not as long as we thought. The show will now premiere on June 9th instead of the 11th.

So far, the MCU related Disney+ content – both WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – has stuck to Friday release dates, and it looked like we’d be continuing with this pattern with Loki.  But the Trickster God has pulled a fast one on us and bumped the premiere up to Wednesday. That means for those of you who stay up late to watch the shows the moment they drop on the streaming platform, you’ll need to shift your sleepy workday from the end of the week to the middle. Prepare your caffeine intake accordingly!

The announcement was made with an absolutely charming video of Tom Hiddleston, who defends his character, who often gets left out of the long superhero montages. Hiddles has a point. He wasn’t included in the epic montage released a few days back. Give Loki some love!

It’s been a weird couple of years for Marvel Cinematic Universe content. The pandemic put a halt on everything after Spider-Man: Far From Home. That’s resulted in all the 2020 content being pushed back into 2021, and a lot of the 2021 content being pushed into 2022. We now have ten films expected in just two years, and a ton of Disney+ show content. However, while there was just a brief gap between WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the gap between them and Loki was significantly wider. Cutting two days off that wait is a blessing!

Buckle up, though, because we’re about to have two years of almost non-stop MCU content. Whether it’s a new show on Disney+ or a film, there’s going to be new content churning out every few weeks until the end of 2022. And by the time we get to the end of 2022, we’ll probably have a ton more content confirmed, too. They are making up for lost time and I’m incredibly grateful!
