Crunchyroll Returns to Anime NYC with Biggest Celebration Yet
Crunchyroll, the world’s ultimate destination for anime, is returning to Anime NYC with its biggest celebration of anime yet. The streaming service will be taking over all 45,000 square feet of the River Pavilion, the fourth level of New York City’s Javits Convention Center, and offering fans a tremendous anime experience.
For all three days of NYC’s premiere anime convention, which this year is being held November 17-19, fans will be whisked into the world of anime with activations, games, and a full panel lineup including Japanese and English guests as well as a number of premieres and an unmissable one-night only concert on Saturday night.
Crunchyroll’s biggest anime celebration of the year includes [WORD] like the immersive The JUJUTSU KAISEN Experience; the NUMB Art Exhibit featuring new work by Takashi Okazaki, the author of Afro Samurai; and numerous photo ops from popular series like SPY x FAMILY, among others.
The Crunchyroll store will set up shop with more the 50 items, including new exclusives – poster prints for Cowboy Bebop and new FiGPiNs for Loid Forger (SPY x FAMILY), Tanjiro (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), and Super Saiyan Caulifla (Dragon Ball Super). Attendees will also be among some of the first to have the chance to grab something from the newly-launched Cat-Eyed Boy x Deadmau5 collection.
Mirroring the arcade on the exhibit floor, Crunchyroll will have its own Premium Member Arcade, allowing Crunchyroll members to test their skills and win exciting prizes. But there will also be free swag, including exclusive items for Crunchyroll Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan members. And Crunchyroll Games will host a dedicated space for fans to demo three titles – One Punch Man: World (which comes with a variety of swag, including the chance to win a prize pack for the game), Street Fighter: Duel, and The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden.
Premium members will enjoy special perks, including discounts on merch, access to the lounge, and preferred seating at the Crunchyroll Stage.
Crunchyroll has also teamed up with The Town Hall to celebrate the 25th anniversy of Cowboy Bebop with a special anniversary concert the night before the convention. On Thursday, November 16, fans will be treated to an audio-visual experience where iconic scenes from the beloved anime are paired with symphonic renditions of Yoko Kanno’s soundtrack. The soundtrack will be performed by The Sinfonietta, an acclaimed all-woman and majority women-of-color orchestra led by conductor Macy Schmidt, at The Town Hall in Midtown Manhattan. Tickets are on sale now.
