Comic book collectors, especially Hellboy fans, will be glad to know Dark Horse Comics will be releasing the Hellboy Omnibus Collection Boxed Set in comic book shops come September 29, 2021. There’s also a Hellboy: His Life and Times Artist Line Art Edition up for grabs.

Mike Mignola released the first Hellboy series, ‘Seed of Destruction’, back in 1994, and over the decades Hellboy has continued to remain an iconic comic book character. The franchise’s longevity is a testament to Mignola’s talent when it comes to creating a rich fictional world that fans still can’t get enough of.

Comic book readers and collectors can look forward to the Hellboy Omnibus Collection Boxed Set arriving this September at comic book stores. It will be available at bookstores on October 12, 2021, timed for Halloween. This specially designed box set features all-new slipcase art by Mignola and award-winning colorist Dave Stewart. It includes all four Hellboy series TPB omnibuses (Seed of Destruction, Strange Places, The Wild Hunt, and Hellboy in Hell). Measuring 6-5/8 x 10-3/16, it contains 1600 pages of stories and will retail for $99.99.

Other than that, the incredible fan response has urged Dark Horse Direct to offer the Hellboy: His Life and Times Artist Line Art Edition of the sold-out Hellboy: His Life and Times Fine Art Print.

Costing $49.99, it’s printed in a “rich” 4-color black with total print dimensions of 24” x 18”. Take note; pre-orders will be open only from now through April 1st at 5 pm PST. And yes, this limited-edition item will be printed to orders placed, never to be reproduced. So act fast. Due to the demand, the orders are being capped at two per person. It’s expected to ship by May 2021.

Even though I’m not the biggest Hellboy fan out there, the print looks amazing!

While the Hellboy franchise continues to be successful in the comic book sphere, I hope a creative team is able to revitalize it for the big screen. Having said that, I wouldn’t mind a live-action or an R-rated animated series on a streaming service. Let’s see what happens.
