Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, the Injustice animated movie will be made available to fans as a 4K UHD Blu-ray Combo Pack, on Blu-ray, and on Digital come October 19, 2021.

The Injustice 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack has been priced at USA $39.99 SRP (Canada $44.98 SRP), the Blu-ray for US $29.98 SRP (Canada $39.99 SRP). The upcoming Injustice animated film is definitely one of the most anticipated titles as far as the DC fandom is concerned. The premise involves Superman crossing a line and moving toward “a dangerous new mindset”.

For those of you wondering what would happen if Clark Kent decided to rule Earth after a personal tragedy, this movie answers said question by showing a possible timeline. The movie has been inspired by NetherRealm Studios’ popular video game Injustice: Gods Among Us and the best-selling DC graphic novel based on the video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One by Tom Taylor.

According to the description, the animated offering shows a world where:

The Joker has duped Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the Man of Steel on a deadly rampage. Unhinged, Superman decides to take control of the Earth for humanity’s own good. Determined to stop him, Batman creates a team of like-minded, freedom-fighting heroes. But when Super Heroes go to war, can the world survive?

Justin Hartley and Anson Mount lead the Injustice all-star cast as Superman and Batman, respectively. The massive cast also includes Janet Varney as Wonder Woman, Brandon Micheal Hall as Cyborg, Kevin Pollak as Joker & Jonathan Kent, Anika Noni Rose as Catwoman, Reid Scott as Green Arrow & Victor Zsasz, Edwin Hodge as Mr. Terrific & Killer Croc, Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man, Laura Bailey as Lois Lane & Rama Kushna, Faran Tahir as Ra’s al Ghul, Derek Phillips as Nightwing & Aquaman, Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Flash & Shazam, Zach Callison as Damian & Jimmy Olsen, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom, and Andrew Morgado as Mirror Master Soldier.

Injustice has been directed by Matt Peters (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) from a screenplay by Ernie Altbacker (Batman: Hush). Jim Krieg serves as Producer and Alyessa Ornelas (Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge) is an Associate Producer. Rick Morales (Mortal Kombat Legends franchise) is also a Producer with Sam Register being an Executive Producer.

Fans will be able to enjoy a sneak peek at Injustice when DC FanDome returns on Saturday, October 16 at 10 a.m. PDT, with an all-new streaming event. DC FanDome 2021 will also be available on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

The running time for Injustice comes in at 78 minutes. It has been rated R for bloody violence. I enjoyed playing the game and reading the comic book series by Tom Taylor. So, I’m looking forward to the animated adaptation.
