Junjo Romantica Anime Season 3 Coming This July!
Fans of yaoi better get ready for another season of the Junjo Romantica anime! The third season of this exceptionally awesome anime will debut this July, and I can’t wait.
According to AnimeNewsNetwork, the voice cast from the previous season will be reprising their respective roles. Even though I can only understand a couple of Japanese words, I’m glad that the original voice cast has decided to come back for the third season. Trying to get used to new voice talent for a familiar character does take away from the fun of watching an anime.
For those of you who don’t know, Junjo Romantica is a yaoi/shonen-ai anime of the manga series of the same name. It follows the relationship between Misaki and Akihiko Usami. While the manga is still ongoing, the anime ended with Akihiko’s father beginning to respect Misaki in the season two finale back in 2008. I don’t know why it took so many years for the anime to deliver us another season, but it’s good that we’re finally getting a new bunch of episodes. The manga has developed the relationship of the leads further, and I’m excited to see it portrayed in the new season.
Misaki and Akihiko’s relationship isn’t the only story the show focuses on. There’s also Hiroki and Nowaki, and Miyagi and Shinobu. All of these couples have different relationship dynamics, and that’s what keeps the viewers interested in them.
