This Ani-May Will Be Bigger than Ever

It’s gonna be Ani-May next week, and Crunchyroll is rolling out its biggest celebration ever, with online, retail, and in-person experiences across the globe.
There’s almost too much happening for one article to outline everything without being ridiculously long, so I’m going to focus on the global highlights and what’s happening in the United States. For a complete look at everything going on across the world, head over to Ani-May headquarters.
Across the world, take advantage of limited-time discounts on Fan and MegaFan memberships (for new and returning customers) on Crunchyroll – also available on a wide range of platforms (availability and pricing may vary slightly by partner and territory). Global discounts across Sony PlayStation (except for APAC), Prime Video, Amazon Fire TV, Google, Apple, Samsung, and Twitch. Additionally in the US via Crunchyroll, YouTube Primetime Channels, Prime Video Channels, in the Crunchyroll App on VIZIO, and on Roku.
In the last few days of April, from April 27-30, enjoy early member access to savings in the Crunchyroll Store, with up to 26% off, and get an exclusive collectible Hime Pin gift with orders of $80 or more (varies by region).
Speaking of the Crunchyroll Store, there will be new product releases, including soccer jerseys for Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Solo Levelling.
Once you’ve got your discounted membership, make sure you stream some of the new spring anime lineup, like Witch Hat Atelier or Daemons of the Shadow Realm, both of which Farid is currently reviewing. Don’t forget to tune into the Crunchyroll premiere of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc (except in France and Japan) on April 30. Meanwhile, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea arrives in theaters across the globe beginning April 28 (May 1 in the US and Canada).
You don’t want to miss the 10th Annual Anime Awards, either! Happening on Saturday, May 23 and streaming live from Japan on YouTube Primetime Channels, TikTok, and Twitch, a star-studded lineup of anime-fan presenters (including The Weeknd, Winston Duke, and RZA) will bestow this year’s winners with their awards.
There will be more to stream with YouTube watch parties every Saturday night. Join in the fun with curated themes, creator co-streams, and community chat moments. Not to mention that there will be a 7-day anime marathon over at the Crunchyroll Twitch channel: a week of watch parties, creators, and interactive fan moments! There will also be Tiktok lives later in the month with a slate of watch parties and themed nights.
Follow Crunchyroll on social media to enjoy content from the first-ever lineup of anime ambassadors – including REI AMI, Big Sean, and Noah Lyles, with more to be announced. All month long, the ambassadors will be joining Hime to bring the celebration to life through things like cosplay, curated Spotify playlists, dubbing moments, and more exclusive anime-inspired content.
For the US, Hot Topic has once again partnered with Crunchyroll to launch a nationwide retail takeover. Fans can shop exclusive apparel and merchandise all month long. Follow both Crunchyroll and Hot Topic on Instagram for the chance to win Hot Topic gift cards and Crunchyroll subscriptions! (Hopefully you can find a Hot Topic. No shade but I know in my neck of the woods, it’s getting harder to find a brick-and-mortar store.) Ani-May will also take over the online retailer Entertainment Earth, where fans can receive a collectible Hime sticker with any purchase of an Ani-May featured item.
If you’re in the NYC area, head to the Tamashii Nation Times Square store on May 10 to meet a special, surprise voice actor! Paid members can receive an exclusive Ani-May pin by showing proof of subscription (while supplies last).
As I said, those are only the highlights! There is much more to enjoy all over the world. And I’m excited to know what you’re excited about, so let me know in the comments.
