Trailer for “My Adventures with Superman” Season 2 Features Lex Luthor, Supergirl and More!

The official trailer for My Adventures with Superman season 2 animated series has been released. The upcoming season featuring young versions of the iconic DC Comics characters will bring Lex Luthor, Supergirl, and more to the board in a major way.

From Warner Bros. Animation, My Adventures with Superman season 2 will get a two-episode debut on Adult Swim come May 25, 2024, at midnight ET/PT. New episodes will premiere every Saturday. The episodes will also stream every Sunday on Max.

I really enjoyed watching and reviewing the first season. I liked how the narrative decided to focus on a twenty-something-year-old Clark Kent (Jack Quaid) as he tries to make sense of his Kryptonian heritage while trying to be a hero to others and holding down a normal job. Of course, there’s romance involved with Lois Lane (Alice Lee) as well as their friendship with Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid).

The finale of the first season delivered answers to a bunch of season-long questions while introducing new ones. The big threat deals with an incoming invasion that Earth needs to prepare for. We also got to learn more about Lois’ father and why he’s not a fan of superpowered alien beings like Superman. There’s also a possible dreadful future that Lois isn’t sure how to deal with yet.   

Season two of My Adventures of Superman will have Amanda Waller continue to focus on taking down Superman. Lois will grapple with what she knows about a possible future becoming reality. And Jimmy Olsen will be spending a lot of money.

From the trailer, I assume that Jimmy will use his newfound influence to gain public support for Superman while Lex Luthor or Alex will work with Waller to tarnish Superman’s image. And yes, Kara will make her debut!

My Adventures with Superman has been executive produced by Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!). Jake Wyatt (Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus) and Brendan Clogher (Voltron: Legendary Defender) serve as co-executive producers and showrunners. Josie Campbell (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) serves as a co-producer.

I highly recommend that you binge-watch the 10-episode-long first season of MAwS to prepare yourself for the second season’s premiere on May 25, 2024. It’s unexpectedly good with the narrative balancing a coming-of-age story with dynamic action.
