Stealth Game “Mission Zero” Gets Technical Test And Opens Pre-Registration!

NetEase Games has announced that Mission Zero will be undergoing a Technical Test on July 8, 2022. Fans have the opportunity to pre-register for the upcoming stealth game.

One of the things that caught my attention when learning more about Mission Zero is that I found the gameplay to be quite unique. I’m familiar with 4v1 survival games (Dead by Daylight) or PvP action titles. However, Mission Zero promises to deliver something quite different, at least, in my opinion.

The upcoming title is, from what I could understand, a competitive stealth-based 2v4 offering. Players get to choose if they wish to be a Sirius (Invaders) or a Mobius (Chasers). The Mobius group is tasked with finding Sirius and preventing them from running away. What’s interesting is that the Sirius team has the ability to blend in with the NPCs to confuse Mobius members by dressing up like cooks, waiters, janitors, etc. I don’t think I have ever played such a game before.

The Technical Test will take place on July 8, 2022, at 9:00 (GMT+7) in Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Thailand. Availability on Android and PC is via Google Play, the official website, and TapTap. Take note; iOS won’t be available during the Technical Test. However, the final version will have cross-platform play on Android, iOS, and PC.

According to the press release, you can think of the scheduled Technical Test as a small-scale beta test. Players will be able to experience the game without any in-app purchases. Their progress will be reset during the final release.

Coming back to the gameplay elements, while the Mobius agents are outnumbered, it is easier for them to work together as a team. The Sirius can use high-tech equipment to aid with their escape plan. It is basically “hide & seek” set in a futuristic fictional world.

I do like the overall look of Mission Zero and how each character has unique abilities. I hope it gets the audience it deserves.
