San Diego Comic-Con 2019: Recapping Day 1
The first day of San Diego Comic-Con 2019 (Thursday, July 18) is over and there was a lot for fans to take in. Let’s go ahead and recap SDCC 2019 Day 1 as much as possible!
Some fans of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be disappointed to know that the series is ending with its seventh season. However, with the Disney+ streaming service getting ready to debut, I wouldn’t be surprised if a similar show finds a home there.
Talking about streaming services, more details about The Witcher TV show were shared: showrunner Lauren Hissirch went over casting Henry Cavill as the lead, comparisons were made to Game of Thrones, and more.
Of course, trailers were released during SDCC 2019 Day 1, too!
We got the final trailer for IT: Chapter Two. Thankfully, it showcased the film being an ensemble instead of focusing mainly on Jessica Chastain like the initial promotional content.
A trailer for the fourth season of Van Helsing was also released.
A featurette for Terminator: Dark Fate showcased a lot of action. Edward Furlong will be back as John Connor.
We got a trailer for HBO’s His Dark Materials TV series. I’m so glad HBO decided to make a television series based on the very enjoyable books.
Tom Cruise stopped by to share the trailer for Top Gun: Maverick. I’m not a Top Gun fun, but I’m still looking forward to knowing what the plot for the sequel is going to be about.
The House of Mouse is still trying to make the Marvel’s Avengers game a thing.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is available. Of course, I’ll be playing it.
Jonathan Hickman offered details about his upcoming Powers of X and House of X stories.
