MCU Phase 4 Details Revealed at SDCC 2019! Jane Foster Is Thor!
For a lot of people, the most exciting thing about this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the Marvel Cinematic Universe Panel. And behold! The MCU Phase 4 details announced didn’t disappoint! We are getting Jane Foster as Thor! Can you believe?
After the events of Avengers: Endgame (even though the time-traveling rules made no sense), everyone was waiting to know what was going to happen in Phase 4. Marvel Studios returned to Hall H to share exciting and unexpected MCU Phase 4 details. Kevin Feige is a movie-making genius!
On May 1, 2020, we will be getting the Black Widow solo movie. The cast includes David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Rachel Weisz, and Scarlett Johansson returning to play a highly trained trans WOC spy.
In Fall 2020 we will be getting The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show on the Disney+ streaming service. It has Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Brühl.
Come November 6, 2020, we’ll get to see the star-studded The Eternals movie with Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee. It will be directed by Chloé Zhao. According to certain reports, The Eternals is supposed to be the first MCU film that will have an openly queer lead character. Let’s see.
On February 12, 2021, ShangChi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be released starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Tony Leung. It will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
In Spring 2021, the Wandavision Disney+ TV series will be released. It will star Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and Teyonah Parris.
The Loki streaming show with Tom Hiddleston debut in Spring 2021.
The animated series titled What if…? will be available in Summer 2021. It has Jeffrey Wright as the voice of The Watcher. Numerous MCU cast members are expected to return for voiceover roles.
Kate Bishop will be introduced in Fall 2021 with the Hawkeye TV series starring Jeremy Renner.
Stephen Strange is finally getting a sequel in May 2021 with Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Wanda will be teaming up with Strange. Apparantly, it will have horror elements.

And then on November 5, 2021, we will get the Taika Waititi directed Thor: Love and Thunder starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Natalie Portman. And yes, Portman is going to be Thor! I can’t wait!

In other interesting news, the MCU will be welcoming Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali in Blade. Furthermore, Captain Marvel 2 is happening and so is Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Black Panther 2. However, even tentative release dates weren’t shared for any of these films. The Fantastic Four and the mutants are still on the table.
