RIP Harold Ramis
The world is now a little less funny. Harold Ramis, the man behind such classics as Caddyshack and Ghostbusters, passed away this morning from complications due to autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis. He was 69 years old.
He was a part of that legendary group of comedians from the 60’s and 70’s that supplied a lifetime of laughs. I can quote lines or scenes from Caddyshack or Animal House; I even gave my best friend Will the nickname Stay Puff out of our mutual love for Ghostbusters – and I have Mr. Ramis to thank for those things. The old legion of funny men is slowly fading away, and I can only hope that some of the new up-and-comers are inspired by men like Harold Ramis.
What are some of your favorite works by Mr. Ramis? If you’re a hardcore movie buff, show that off – let’s give this legend a proper send off! Comment below with your thoughts and memories.
