“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” Gets 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD Release This June!

Courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will be available for fans to own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD come June 25, 2024. Not only that but there will also be a Limited Edition 2-movie collection giftset up for grabs!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire serves as the second installment in the latest live-action Ghostbusters reboot/continuation. The narrative brought back the OG cast to face a big supernatural threat while continuing to focus on the Spengler family. The movie debuted in the US on March 22, 2024.

Of course, the upcoming home release will include tons of extra features for fans to enjoy.

The Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital extras include:

• Easter Eggs Unleashed
• Return to the Firehouse: Making Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
• Busted: Capturing the Ghosts of Frozen Empire

The DVD will include:

As for the 2-movie collection, we have the same extras for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

However, Ghostbusters: Afterlife will include:

Judging by the promo image, the 2-movie giftset will include an ice mold featuring the famous logo.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was directed by Gil Kenan who also co-wrote it with Jason Reitman. With a reported production budget of $100 million, the film went on to gross more than $200 million at the global box office.

The runtime comes in at 115 minutes and it has been rated PG-13 for supernatural action/violence, language, and suggestive references. 

I did watch and review it. 

I deemed it a serviceable film that had a couple of things I enjoyed. My biggest gripe was the undercooked lore and the narrative having way too many characters to properly juggle. But still, if you are looking for a somewhat fun family-oriented action/horror movie to help spend the time, go ahead and give it a watch.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a fan of the art featured on the Walmart exclusive steelbook. It just looks so good!
