Fans of Telltale’s The Walking Dead video game series have been waiting a long time to play as Clementine again. The third season will premiere sometime this fall, and while we wait, check out the released teaser trailer!
Telltale Games joined with IGN to reveal the teaser trailer for the upcoming season at E3 on Sunday in Los Angeles. Even though most of the trailer shows a walker on its way to eat a dead person, we do get a glimpse of returning protagonist, Clementine. There is also a new male character walking beside her. The graphics have also improved a lot.

According to Telltale Games’ press release, the male character is named Javier. The third season, while a continuation of the previous two seasons, will also be a new story. This ensures that new players won’t feel lost, and enjoy the game to its fullest. Returning players will have a much deeper experience because their decisions from the previous seasons will play a role in the third.
Clementine has also grown as a character over the course of the series. The third season features Clementine in her early teens. She’s been described as having turned into a person “who is clearly capable of handling herself.”
Javier will also be playable in addition to Clementine. However, the company isn’t ready to reveal how that’ll work. He has been described as “a fellow survivor who has been through hell, and has managed to remain alive as long as Clem.”
I for one am looking forward to playing the third season of The Walking Dead series. Judging by the trailer, it is good to know that they didn’t over-sexualize Clementine. The design for a more grownup version of the main character was something that we talked about during our interview with Melissa Hutchison.
The company will also be releasing Batman – The Telltale Series this summer.
