CultureFly Fall 2024 Star Wars Galaxy Box “Galactic Beasts” Theme – Review
I finally received the Star Wars Galaxy Box for Fall 2024 from CultureFly. Following the theme of ‘Galactic Beasts’, the box included 6 items, 5 of which I will be using!
Apparently, there have been delays with the Star Wars Galaxy Box Fall 2024 offering. But oh well, I’m glad I was able to receive mine before winter turned to spring. Not to mention the recent Canada Post strike that caused inconveniences for many in the country. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for supporting strikes and unions to achieve better overall employee treatment.)
Following the theme of Galactic Beasts, the current subscription box from CultureFly had an orange and brown color scheme. The lid of the box as well as the sides featured famous beasts from the Star Wars IP. Opening the lid, you would get to see the box containing six items.
Let’s go over them!
The first item I pulled out was the ‘Salacious Crumb’ Enamel Pin. Measuring approximately 2 by 3 inches, this was a two-backed pin with a nice weight to it. The image showcased, as stated in the name, Salacious B. Crumb, with the speech bubble showing his laugh. I’m not the biggest pin collector out there, but I think those who are will appreciate such an item.
Next up, I went for the white ‘Wampa Arm Scarf’, which was fashioned to look like a severed Wampa arm. Poor, Wampa!
It’s a unique design with one end of the scarf having the grey claws and the other end having red fringe to denote… well, a severed arm. The length of the scarf featured greenish-blue fur detail. Made of 95% acrylic and 5% spandex, the scarf felt soft to the touch and had a nice stretch to it. Due to it being cold over here, I’m looking forward to making good use of this scarf. The five claws seem to be filled with a wool-like material and are made of something resembling faux leather.
Then we have the two-piece coaster set featuring the Mythosaur and the Mudhorn.
Made from cork, these are definitely nice quality coasters that I have already put to use. They each measured approximately 4 inches in diameter.
As for the second wearable, we have the Rancor Baseball Jersey. This black and orange ‘Fashion Top’ resembled an actual jersey with the number 83 on the back and the front having the ‘Rancors’ logo and the same number. The right half-sleeve had a Tatoonie patch. It’s got five orange buttons along with an extra button inside a plastic pouch. Similar to other CultureFly wearables, this was a soft good-quality jersey to wear.
Moving on, there’s the Bantha molded glass mug measuring approximately 6 inches and able to hold 15 ounces of liquid. I liked how the mug was molded to feature the entire body of a Bantha, complete with horns and four tiny feet. It’s cute and another item I’m already using.
The last item in the box was the ‘Sarlac Pit Bowl and Spoon with Boba Fett Topper’. The plastic bowl had an orange and brown color scheme with the base showcasing the environment the Sarlac lived in. Inside the bowl was the deadly creature’s mouth. This bowl is supposed to hold 20 ounces, making for a healthy helping of cereal in the morning.
As for the approximately 7-inch long spoon, I wasn’t expecting it to be an actual stainless steel spoon. I was expecting something made out of plastic. But yay to a stainless steel spoon. I need a new one!
I’m kind of disappointed that the handle of the spoon didn’t feature anything to relate it to Star Wars, but I guess that’s where the Boba Fett rubber topper comes into play. Mearusing approximately 4 inches, you are to insert the end of the spoon into the slit underneath the topper. Of course, you can use the topper for some other utensil if you want, depending on whether or not it will fit.
So, yeah, there you have it. The CultureFly Star Wars Galaxy Box for Fall 2024 included six officially licensed and exclusive products themed after Galactic Beasts.
