“Hello Kitty: Day at the Park” A Delightful Board Game – Review

Hello Kitty has been in my orbit since I was in middle school. I coveted the girls who had the cool Sanrio school supplies and vowed that I would have Hello Kitty everything one day. 20 some years later… I might not have everything Sanrio related, but I have a good start. When Maestro Media reached out to me and asked if I wanted to sample their new board game collaboration with Sanrio, I jumped at the chance!
I was provided with a free copy of the Hello Kitty: Day at the Park board game for review. The opinions I have shared are my own.

If you’re looking for a charming and downright cute board game that’s perfect for family game night, Hello Kitty: A Day at the Park is a fantastic choice! Developed by Maestro Media in collaboration with Sanrio, this game blends strategy, teamwork, and the timeless magic of Hello Kitty and Friends into an experience that’s both fun and engaging.
How to Play
Designed for players ages 8 and up, Hello Kitty: A Day at the Park allows 2-4 players to take on the roles of Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Keroppi, and other adorable Sanrio characters. The goal is to explore their world of play in the park, complete various challenges, collect items, and visit attractions to earn rewards.
Each turn, players move around the board, collecting resources and working together to complete adventures. The game includes a mix of strategy and teamwork, encouraging players to make decisions together while still offering a competitive element. The Deluxe Edition even includes a unique Hello Kitty figurine, which makes the experience even more special for fans.

My Family’s Experience
I played this game with my two daughters (ages 12 and 9), and we had an absolute blast! The game’s rules were easy to learn, making it accessible for all of us, and the adorable artwork kept us smiling throughout. My daughters loved picking their favorite Sanrio characters and strategizing together to complete the challenges. They even ganged up on me to see who would be the victor of the special Hello Kitty figurine.

What stood out most was how Hello Kitty: A Day at the Park encourages teamwork while still allowing for some friendly competition. My 9-year-old especially enjoyed collecting cute items from the board, while my 12-year-old loved planning out the best moves to get ahead. There were lots of giggles, excitement, and just the right level of challenge to keep us all engaged without frustration.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly game that will keep you entertained, but not take hours and have tables flipped over. Look no further than Hello Kitty: A Day at the Park.
