“Justice League: Warworld” Gets 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital Release This July!

From DC and Warner Bros. Animation, Justice League: Warworld will be made available to fans on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital come July 25, 2023. The upcoming animated feature-length film will bring together the iconic “Trinity” for the first time during the Butch Lukic-helmed DC Universe Movies reign.

Released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Justice League: Warworld will show Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman trying to survive a mysterious land with no memory of how they got there. Also, they only have vague memories of who they used to be. Drama!

The cast includes Jensen Ackles as the voice of Batman and Officer Wayne, Darren Criss as Superman and Agent Kent, while Stana Katic voices Wonder Woman and Diana Prince.

The synopsis reads:

Until now, DC’s Justice League has been a loose association of super-powered individuals. But when they are swept away to Warworld, a place of unending brutal gladiatorial combat, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the others must somehow unite to form an unbeatable resistance able to lead an entire planet to freedom.

Clark seems to be stuck in an old sci-fi world. Diana’s in a Western setting. And Bruce is in some kind of old-timey fantasy land. I’m here for it!

Also, while I wasn’t a fan of the new animation style in the beginning. It has grown on me. 

The Special Features include:

• Illusions on Warworld (New Featurette) – Go behind the scenes and inside the process of designing and creating three distinct genres for the Justice League to inhabit on Warworld.
• The Heroic, the Horrible and the Hideous (New Featurette) – Dive deep into the origins and histories of the key players on Warworld and learn how the filmmakers brought them to life.

The rest of the cast includes Ike Amadi as the Martain Manhunter, Troy Baker as Jonah Hex, Matt Bomer as Old Man, Roger R. Cross as Machiste, Brett Dalton as Bat Lash, John DiMaggio as Lobo, Robin Atkin Downes as Mongul, Frank Grillo as Agent Faraday, Rachel Kimsey as Mariah Romanova, Damian O’Hare as Deimos, and Teddy Sears as the voice of Warlord.

Justice League: Warworld has been directed by Jeff Wamester from a script by co-writers Jeremy Adams, Ernie Altbacker, and Josie Campbell. The Producers are Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau. Michael Uslan, Butch Lukic, and Sam Register serve as Executive Producers.

Justice League: Warworld has been rated R for some bloody violence (nice!). And it has a runtime of approximately 90 minutes.
