I am a huge fan of Ashley Eckstein and so much of what Her Universe has offered throughout the years, so I for one am excited to hear that she is making appearances at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World throughout the next week!
Ashley Eckstein and artist Ashley Taylor will both be visiting the WonderGround Galleries at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista (Orlando), Florida to show off their new Star Wars designs that will only be available at Disney. The clothing items featured are a skirt and a cardigan, and there will also be prints available. These new designs were inspired by Mary Blair, an amazing artist who worked on many Disney films (Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and more) and later turned to freelance design that involved illustrating some of the Little Golden Books as well as sets for Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas and Easter shows.
To meet Ashley Eckstein at one of these signings, you’ll have to stop by the WonderGround Gallery in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District on Friday December 2nd, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM, or go to the Disney Springs WonderGround Gallery at Walt Disney World on Tuesday December 6th from 3 to 5 PM. There are additional signings featuring just Ashley Taylor at Disney Springs on Sunday December 4th from 12 to 3 PM and Monday December 5th from 5 to 8 PM.
While I’m not sure how I feel about the cardigan (it appears to be 3/4 sleeve and that’s just not my thing), I absolutely LOVE the skirt that these two ladies have designed – and having met Ashley Eckstein briefly at San Diego Comic-Con once before, I’m excited to say ‘hello’ to her again…and hopefully pick up the skirt and maybe even one of the matching prints!
What do you think of this new Her Universe design? Will you be trying to make it out to Disneyland or Disney Springs at WDW to buy it? Let us know in the comments!
