“My Adventures with Superman” Season 3 Gets Ready to Tackle The Reign of Supermen This June!

Fans of the animated My Adventures with Superman won’t have to wait any longer for more content. My Adventures with Superman season 3 will debut come June 13, 2026, with the storyline delivering a twist on the iconic ‘Reign of Supermen’ arc.
From Warner Bros. Animation, the third season of My Adventures with Superman will air midnights as part of the Toonami anime/action block on Adult Swim, with the episodes airing the very next day on HBO Max.
The 10-episode-long first season debuted back in July of 2023, with the sophomore season airing in May of 2024 for 10 episodes. However, fans had to wait a bit longer for the third instalment, especially due to the changes (still) occurring over at Warner Bros. Studios, and the time it takes to produce animated content.
I enjoyed reviewing the first season (you can read my opinions here). The second season introduced Clark Kent’s cousin Kara Zor-El to the narrative. I enjoyed seeing Kara realize being brainwashed for years by Brainiac and her growing relationship with Jimmy Olsen.
The finale of the second season had Kara deciding to remain on Earth to help Clark, Lois, and Jimmy protect the inhabitants, while Lex Luthor continued his journey to get rid of Superman and other extraterrestrial threats.
The upcoming third season will see Clark (Jack Quaid) ready to settle down after reconnecting with his Kryptonian heritage. However, Lois (Alice Lee) is just getting started in her career, which has experienced a recent popularity bump. Jimmy (Ishmel Sahid) has evolved into a celebrity journalist and will also get to deal with more romantic drama involving Kara (Kiana Madeira), who is trying to find a place for herself on Earth.
While the show will continue to feature the slice-of-life and coming-of-age aspects of the narrative, the overarching storyline will be inspired by the ‘Reign of Supermen’ arc from the comics, as teased in the season’s promotional image that depicts Cyborg Superman.
“This is the kind of show action‑animation fans tune into Toonami for,” shared Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim. “Season three of My Adventures with Superman goes harder, looks bigger, and packs the emotional punch that makes this series such a standout.”
For those who might not know, the ‘Reign of Supermen’ arc involved a bunch of “Supermen” appearing on the scene after the ‘Death of Superman’ arc, wanting to take on the mantle while operating on their own values. However, due to the current animated series dealing with Clark’s character development in a very different manner than the comics, the appearance of various “Supermen” will happen while a young Clark is alive and well.
Along with Cyborg Superman, aka Hank Henshaw, the series will also include Superboy.
“Superboy can’t just push Clark’s buttons,” shared Jake Wyatt, co-showrunner, via Entertainment Weekly. “So Superboy’s been adjusted to be more relevant to all of our characters, and then he is going to embody the tension between hope in the present and fear in the future…. He was the writers’ and the artists’ favorite character for the season, and we’re going to complicate him a bit over the course of it.”
A fourth season hasn’t been confirmed as of the writing of this piece, but Wyatt hopes fans might just get to enjoy the animated series for longer if a bunch of viewers tune in, especially with the changes occurring at the studio.
Brendan Clogher serves as co-executive producer and showrunner for My Adventures with Superman, along with Wyatt. The series is also executive produced by James Gunn, Peter Safran, and Sam Register, with Kimberly S. Moreau acting as producer.
