Now you, too, can worship Taizi Dianxia with this new Tian Guan Ci Fu / Heaven Official’s Blessing figure from Good Smile Arts Shanghai!
The Taizi Dianxia 太子殿下 (His Royal Highness the Crown Prince) figure will be available through pre-order on Bilibili’s website starting on January 1st, 2021. A separate listing should go up on Good Smile’s own website, which could be an easier option for international fans. People familiar with shipping merchandise abroad also recommend waiting for listings on Taobao or Amiami to make the ordering process a little easier. This is just the first place to put up details about the order, and certainly won’t be the last, so stay tuned for more details.
The pre-sale on Bilibili will last through March 11th, 2021, with the figure being released in July 2022. Yes, you read that right – 2022. But this figure is gorgeous and it will take some time. This is a very short pre-order window for Bilibili, but we’ll update with information through other retailers as it becomes available as those may vary. The figure will be priced at ¥1599, which is around USD$250 at this time. Bilibili is requiring a 15% deposit on pre-orders, which would come out to about $37.50 or so.
The figure will be 355mm tall, which is almost 14 inches, and will be made out of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) and Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) with prototyping by KAMUI (GSAS). This is a big statue. Certainly big enough to create your own shrine to the Flower Crowned Martial God (花冠武神, Huā Guān Wǔ Shén). Of course, the shrine would be best with his own accompanying Crimson Rain Sought Flower companion, but perhaps we’ll get that someday as well. As we know from the Tian Guan Ci Fu novel extras, it’s best to have them in pairs! But for now, we can, at the very least, start our Dianxia shrine and earn our favorite Martial God some merits in the Heavenly realm. With the delay between pre-orders and delivery, you have plenty of time to set up a space worthy of our God.
Our Dianxia is depicted with a sword in one hand and flowers in the other, which is how he is often depicted in artwork by his believers. He’s emerging from a beautiful flower and dressed in very detailed red and white robes with gold trim. His headpiece is adorned with flowers and, yes, he has the red coral earrings as well, because of course. That detail alone is almost enough for me to grab my wallet and throw cash at them. Who knew I’d have such a visceral reaction to earrings?? But, based on the advice of Twitter users far for familiar with this process than I am, I’ll wait for a link on Good Smile and possibly order through either Taobao or Amiami.
More details will certainly come out over the next few days or weeks, so don’t feel compelled to initiate a pre-order immediately. It’s certainly quite tempting though. The statue is very beautiful and highly anticipated. We’ll keep an eye out for updates!
