The crew of Ark-1 makes a horrifying discovery on Ark-3, raising questions about Eva in the “Museum of Death.”

After exploring a fun parallel universe in “The Other You,The Ark takes a creepy turn in “Museum of Death.” Among the literal skeletons are some surprising revelations about Eva (Tiana Upcheva) that raise questions regarding her past and her true purpose for being on the Ark.

After discovering another ship already at Ark-3, the crew of Ark-1 determine that it belongs to the Eastern Federation. Though there isn’t a lot that we know about the Eastern Federation, a rogue faction, the new threat is one that James (Richard Fleeshman) previously fought and killed Spencer’s father (Reece Ritchie), providing a lot of interesting story potential going forward. Despite some debate, the crew ultimately sticks to their mission to raid Ark-3 for parts to fix Ark-1.

Sharon (Christie Burke) and the rest of the crew find a horrifying sight when they board the ship. The corpses of Ark-3 have all been laid out around the ship as if they are still alive. The sequence of Sharon and the crew examining the bodies until one comes to life in a jump scare is incredibly unsettling but will likely appeal to viewers who enjoy horror.

Sharon and Eva chase the man hiding among the corpses, and Eva recognizes him as her brother Bojan (Vas Batricevic). The family reunion becomes disturbing as the crew realizes that Bojan genuinely seems to think that the corpses of his wife and friends are still alive. Kimi (Diana Bermudez) tazes him and the crew brings him to the medical bay for observation.

Back in the medical bay, Kelly (Samantha Glassner), now having control over her abilities, demands answers from Dr. Marsh (Jadran Malkovich). She gets some clarity, even though she nearly strangles him in the process. Though the confrontation is a step backward in her redemption arc, a conversation with Trust (Paul Leonard Murray) reveals that her father attempted to hide her from her mother, but her mother ultimately killed him.

However, Kelly’s confrontation with Dr. Marsh is not the most interesting thing that happens in the medical bay. As Eva visits her brother, he talks to her in Serbian about her mission. Though Bojan is clearly unhinged, Eva’s reaction to his comment suggests that there may be some truth to his words here and his previous accusation of Eva being a spy for the Eastern Federation before being tazed. Before we can find out more information, Bojan freaks out about not being able to see his wife and friends and is subdued.

After a briefing from Alicia (Stacey Read) and Trust, the crew decides that they need to take the front part of Ark-3’s ship to replace their own. The plan is relatively straightforward until Bojan, having escaped from the medical bay, attempts to return to Ark-3. Eva puts on a suit to try and talk him out of it, but Bojan is too determined. In a thrilling sequence, Felix (Pavle Jerinic) rescues Eva, but Bojan is killed in an explosion as the crew completes their mission to fix the ship.

While not the most thrilling moments of the episode, the series’ main couples get some nice development. When Angus (Ryan Adams) questions his worth after seeing that the new members of Ark-15 have taken over and improved his farming system, Alicia assures him that he’s important. Sharon shares a drink with Spencer as they discuss his father. Meanwhile, James (Richard Fleeshman) does his best to comfort Eva in the aftermath of Bojan’s death.

Kimi is still trying to get answers, asking Jelena (Tamara Radovanovic) what Bojan and Eva were saying in Serbian. Like her questioning of James in the last episode, Kimi is being anything but subtle and it’s surprising that people aren’t more suspicious of her. Despite her attempt to question Jelena’s failure, Kimi overhears Jelena trying to warn Felix about what Bojan said to Eva.

Though Felix refuses to listen to Jelena, it’s clear that Eva is hiding something. In the final moments of “Museum of Death.” Eva logs into the database and deletes her file complete with a criminal record of six charges that are not listed. Though we’ve learned to care for and trust Eva, it remains to be seen how the inevitable revelations will impact our perception of her.
