Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment is ready to release The Gilded Age: The Complete Third Season on DVD come October 21, 2025.
Set during the 1880s in New York, The Gilded Age season 3 packed a whole lot of opulence, drama, and societal issues into eight episodes as the narrative showcased the lives of a couple of families. Fans can relive it all when The Gilded Age season 3 gets a DVD release on October 21, 2025. Pre-orders are open right now (depending on where you usually get your DVDs from).
Of course, the entire third season of The Gilded Age is currently available for digital purchase on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, and Apple TV. Take note that the three-season collection is digitally available on Apple TV and Google Play.
After delivering the Opera War during the second season, the third chapter showed the Old Guard weakening and Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) continuing to gain power. Her biggest gamble involved marrying off her daughter Gladys (Taissa Farmiga) to a Duke, much to George’s (Morgan Spector) displeasure. Along with trying to be as supportive as possible to Gladys due to her not wanting to marry the Duke, George also handled his business in a manner that could jeopardize the family’s financial standing.
Larry (Harry Richardson) and Marian’s (Louisa Jacobson) budding romance hit a snag over miscommunication and trust issues. Peggy (Denée Benton) also experienced relationship drama after getting a new love interest in the form of the impressive Dr. William Kirkland (Jordan Donica) from Newport. Agnes (Christine Baranski) and Ada (Cynthia Nixon) struggled with running the household after Ada came into a lot of money during the season two finale, drastically changing the dynamic the two sisters had shared for decades.
The queer representation via Oscar (Blake Ritson) shook the fandom. While I’m still disappointed the writers decided to go down that route with Oscar and his ex-boyfriend John Adams (Claybourne Elder), I’m looking forward to seeing what the already greenlit season 4 has in store for Oscar.
From creator/writer/executive producer Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey), the third outing of The Gilded Age continued to talk about misogyny, racism, women’s rights, and more topics; some of which, unfortunately, linger to this day.
You can read my review of The Gilded Age Season 3 finale here, and you can listen to my episodic recaps over on The Geekiary YouTube channel.
The season debuted back in June with 0.430 million live viewers. It ended up being one of the rare shows that gained in viewership numbers each week, with episode 7 seeing 0.672 million live viewers. According to Deadline, the penultimate episode collected 4.6 million viewers in the three days since its debut. So, yeah, it’s safe to assume the finale will perform strongly.
As for the upcoming DVD release, along with the 8 episodes (with each episode being approximately 1 hour long), it will include previously released bonus content. The show is rated TV-MA. The Language is English with English Subtitles.
While fans wait for the DVD release and the fourth season premiere, Fellowes has Downton Abbey 3: The Grand Finale set for a September 12, 2025, theatrical debut.
