“The Last of Us: Season 2” Gets 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray and DVD Release This September!

Fans of The Last of Us live-action series can look forward to physically owning the latest season come September 23, 2025. The Last of Us: The Complete Season 2 will be available as a 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, and DVD.

From Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment, the upcoming physical release of The Last of Us season 2 will feature tons of extra content for fans to enjoy, including two never-before-seen featurettes. And for those wondering, yes, a standard 4K UHD release will be up for grabs, too. For those interested, pre-orders are currently open.

The second chapter opened five years after the dramatic events that unfolded during the debut season. Joel is forced to face the consequences of his past actions, causing Ellie’s life to change forever. The story follows Ellie’s journey from Jackson to Seattle as she tries to address her emotions.

The cast includes Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey reprising their roles as Joel and Ellie, respectively. Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley also return as Tommy and Maria. The new cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara guest stars as a live-action original character, a therapist named Gail.

Based on The Last of Us 2 video game, the second season of the live-action series was able to cover a lot in the 7-episode-long season order. However, the show will return to focus on Abby’s story during the third chapter. There are also talks about a possible fourth season.

From what I can tell, the ratings haven’t been stellar for the second installment. So, let’s see what happens to the series once the third chapter rolls in.

Releasing on September 23, 2025, The Last of Us: The Complete Second Season includes all 7 of the approximately one-hour-long episodes. The runtime comes in at around 420 minutes. The Languages and Subtitles are English, Spanish, and French.
