The Complete “Outlander” Season 7 Gets Collector’s Edition, Blu-ray and DVD Release This May

From Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, fans of the long-running Outlander series can look forward to owning the complete Outlander season 7 on Blu-ray and DVD come May 27, 2025.

Take note that the upcoming home release of Outlander season 7 will be available as a Collector’s Edition as well as the traditional Blu-ray and DVD versions. Fans will get to enjoy a Blooper Reel, Deleted Scenes, Four Outlander Untold Scenes, and more.

I got into watching Outlander a bit later after it debuted back in August of 2014. And I’m glad that I did. Over the years I have come to really ship the leads Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitríona Balfe). I also like how the show handled the queer character Lord John Grey (David Berry). I mean, I’m still a bit pressed about how the live-action adaptation of the novels didn’t allow Jamie and John to kiss each other, but still, considering the overall narrative and what has transpired, I can kind of let it slide.

The seventh season of Outlander had Jamie and Young Ian trying to rescue Claire from being convicted of murder. Based on historical events, the characters continued to deal with The American Revolution. Jamie’s son also played a huge role, especially during the second half of the season as did Lord John Grey. The drama between Jamie, Claire, and John this season was just… yes!

Outlander is one of those rare shows where a “love triangle” is kind of done right, in the sense that the three characters involved share a strong bond amongst the trio in some way or another.

Talking about the Collector’s Edition of Outlander season 7, you will get a 24-page booklet with behind-the-scenes photos, storyboard images, and a set of collector cards.

As for the bonus materials in the Blu-ray and DVD versions, you will get:

• Four Outlander Untold Scenes
• Blooper Reel
• Deleted Scenes

The approximate running time is 934 minutes. Both Blu-ray and DVD releases will include 6 Discs. The audio is in English and French (PAR). The Subtitles are in English, English SDH, and French.

The seventh season of Outlander includes a total of 16 episodes. The first part, consisting of 8 episodes, ran from June 16, 2023 to August 11, 2023. The second half premiered on November 22, 2024, and concluded on January 17, 2025.

The series has been renewed for an 8th season. So, yay!
