Upcoming Survival Horror Game “Vorax” Gets Story Trailer and Roadmap!
A brand new trailer and a content roadmap for Vorax have been released by developer IndieGala. The upcoming survival horror game puts you on an island filled with terrifying monsters.
Vorax is set on a Mediterranean island. A mysterious pathogen has infected the territory, turning the local population into monsters. Players will need to survive the island while also trying to uncover the truth behind what happened. Along with being able to use weapons against threats, the survival horror gameplay mechanic also includes collecting resources and construction.
The trailer gave me Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Revelations 2 vibes. While I’m not the biggest fan of first-person video games, I do like the ‘build’ aspect of this game, allowing you to create some type of shelter for your character and fortify said shelter. And yes, you can create traps, too.
As for the new roadmap, the dev team plans to include drivable vehicles for faster travel (I already want to squish a bunch of monsters!), completely new locations, an extended map, and new weapons (including range-focused items with explosives). The crafting system will also be improved, allowing players to craft metals that can then be used to create gunpowder and bullets.
The current plan includes a full launch of Vorax to have forty main quests. The gameplay will encourage exploration to enable players to find resources to become stronger. Locations include abandoned homes, sewers, caves, and more.
Furthermore, the variety of enemies will add to the game’s strategic element as players figure out how to defeat them. Take note; some enemies will be better left alone.
Currently in development, you can go ahead and Wishlist Vorax right now on Steam. There is also an official Discord server. As of writing this, the server has more than 800 members.
