I mean it. The Revry exclusive queer and campy Versus: The Game Show needs to continue forever. I don’t remember the last time I laughed so much watching two contestants trying to answer absurd (yet surprisingly logic-demanding) questions.

I was provided with free screeners of Versus: The Game Show for review. The opinions I have shared are my own.

Revry’s Versus: The Game Show was developed and hosted by Deven Green and musician Ned Douglas. This show is self-aware of its raging absurdity and I couldn’t get enough of it!

Each episode featured two contestants (known in the queer community) and made them compete in various rapid-fire challenges. The questions and tasks ranged from testing their memory, digging through their social media, logic, wit, and more. I loved the variety of challenges showcased in the four episodes.

Due to every episode being around 5 minutes, the rapid pace added to the fun and confusion experienced by the contestants and Green.

This show had contestants counting how many animated kittens appeared on the screen in a barrage of donuts and carrots. The contestants are having fun. Green and (floating head) Douglas are fun. You are sure to have fun. It’s everything and so much more! You, like me, will find yourself playing along.

Side note; I lost the kitten-counting challenges. Let me know how you fared.

Here are the contestants in the first season:

  • Ep 1: Actor Cole Jenkins vs Ryan Mitchell (Channel Q radio host).
  • Ep 2: Lianna Carrera (The Q Agenda) vs Christopher Saint (musician).
  • Ep 3: On Mekahel (Putting On) vs Enrique Sapene (The Q Agenda).
  • Ep 4: Iconic Drag Queer Varla Jean Merman (aka Jeffrey Roberson) vs YouTuber Matt Baume.

Released on December 4, 2020, Versus: The Game Show can be streamed right now at watch.revry.tv
