“Madame Web” Gets 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD Release This April

Fans of the live-action Madame Web movie can look forward to owning the film on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD come April 30, 2024. A Limited Edition 4K UHD/Blu-ray Steelbook will also be avaibale.

Courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, the upcoming physical home release of the Dakota Johnson-starring Madame Web will include a whole bunch of extra content to appease fans.

And hey! While I get that the movie wasn’t able to materialize in an impactful manner at the box office (both domestically and globally), I know that there are still some who ended up enjoying watching Madame Web. That’s why I decided to help get the word out about the physical release.

Based on Marvel Comics lore, the narrative deals with… “He was in the Amazon with my Mom when she was researching spiders right before she died.”

Okay! I’ll stop!

But no, seriously, the fact Cassandra Webb’s mother did die in the Amazon when was researching spiders in the Amazon does play an integral role in the film. Madame Web serves as an origin story for Webb (Johnson) and how she has to use her clairvoyant abilities to save the lives of three young women (future Spider-Women) from a man connected to her past.

Along with Johnson, the rest of the cast includes Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, Immaculate), Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), and Tahar Rahim (Napoleon).

The extra content on the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital versions includes:

• Future Vision
• Casting The Web
• Deleted Scene

The DVD release will have:

• Future Vision
• Casting The Web

The 4K UHD is presented in 2160p UHD/2.39:1, with the Audio being English Dolby Atoms (Dolby TrueHD 7.1 compatible).

The Blu-ray is presented in 1080p HD/2.39:1, and the DVD features 2.39:1 Anamorphic Widescreen.

Madame Web was directed by SJ Clarkson from a screenplay by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless and Claire Parker & SJ Clarkson.

The approximate runtime comes in at 116 minutes with the movie being rated PG-13 for violence/action and language.

Released in the USA on February 14, 2024, and with a reported production budget of almost $80 million, Madame Web has collected north of $99 million at the worldwide box office.
