New York Comic Con Announces 2026 Ticket Sales, Anniversary Theme

New York Comic Con has (finally) revealed the dates of the ticket sales for its 2026 event, held as always at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The Popverse Superfan presale, for those with a paid Popverse membership, begins Wednesday June 3 at 12PM ET. The Fan Verification presale, for those who were previously fan verified and confirmed their profiles, will be Sunday June 14 at 10AM ET. The general onsale, which is open to everyone, will be Wednesday June 24 at 12PM ET.
For anyone who hasn’t attended before, or who attended in the past and has not been rolling over their accounts, Fan Verification reopens on June 15. Everyone who plans on attending should make a profile. NYCC does not post a public link for ticket sales – a link is emailed to the address you use to sign up for Fan Verification.
This year’s event, which will be Thursday October 8 through Sunday October 11, is also apparently the 20th anniversary. (According to Wikipedia this is true, but I swear the 10th anniversary was in 2019. There was a whole bunch of merch for it – I bought some of it.) This year’s theme will be Coney Island, an NYC institution and one of its most beloved cultural icons.
As part of this collaboration, NYCC will be sponsoring Coney Island’s iconic annual Mermaid Parade on June 20. The Coney Island Sideshow will also have a presence at the convention, with a variety show on October 8 and performances going all weekend.
Additional details about the partnership will be announced in the months to come, including a Coney Island-inspired merch collection and programming.
Information about guests, panels, photo ops, autographs, and exhibitors will be revealed in the coming weeks. Keep in mind that the schedule will not start to release until September, with the full and complete schedule generally not being available until October.
Unfortunately, a new year generally means an increase in prices, and this year’s seem pretty substantial. Yes, yes, inflation, and yes fees are included in the price, but really this is a lot. A VIP badge will run you about $991, which is an increase of almost $200 from last year. Individual tickets, which have traditionally been the same across all four days, are now different, with Saturday being more expensive than the others. Thursday will be about $93, Friday and Sunday about $99, and Saturday comes in at around $109. (Last year each day was $80, which means this is an average increase of about $19.) A 4-day, which is a bit more of a bargain if you’re planning on attending all four days, will run you about $321. None of these include the $14.50 shipping fee, which if you live anywhere in the US is not something you can opt out of.
Also, for the first time ever, NYCC has introduced “early bird” pricing, which means that any badges purchased from September 4 on will be even more expensive. (And in case you’re wondering, yes, there are typically still badges available then. NYCC has not fully sold out since before Covid. And with these prices, I doubt it will do so this year.)

If you’re thinking about attending for the first time, please do check out my NYCC Beginner’s Guide, which will be updated shortly to include this year’s dates and prices.
