SDCC Open Registration is November 16th!
It’s time, guys. SDCC Open Registration will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 9:00 am Pacific Time. Get a game plan together and be ready.
SDCC Open Registration is “the big one.” It’s the event where the general public who didn’t qualify for Returning Reg or one of the special badge categories (Press, Pro) can try for a badge of their own. It’s also a chance for those that didn’t get their desired badge type in Returning Registration to give it another shot.
If you got a full badge in Returning Reg or you are approved as Press or Pro, you won’t be eligible for this sale. You will be able to see if you are eligible by logging into your online member portal and checking the upper right-hand corner. If it reads “OK CC’20 Attendee Open Reg” then you are good to go!
Make sure you are opted-in for emails because the link to the waiting room will go out 1 – 2 days before the sale. You can confirm that you are opted in by logging into your member portal and checking the right-hand side of the “my account” page under “opt-outs.” But, if you forget to turn this option on, you’ll also be able to grab the link from your member portal under the “registration” tab “at least 48 hours in advance of the sale” per the SDCC website.
The online waiting room will open at 8:00 am Pacific Time, but the order of the waiting room will not determine your spot in line. Still, it’s a good idea to get there early to make sure your computer is functioning properly and you don’t encounter any sort of unexpected errors during the whole process.
Is this your first time dealing with SDCC Open Registration? We’ve got a handy SDCC Badge Guide to help you navigate this complicated system. Once you are set there, get ready for the SDCC Hotel Sale in a few months’ time.
Exciting times are afoot in the SDCC world. Get ready.
