Tapas Launches Third Annual Inksgiving Event

Start celebrating the season of giving with Tapas! The leading digital publishing platform plans to kick off the beginning of the holiday season by giving back to its creators with their third annual Tapas Presents Inksgiving event.

Inksgiving starts Friday, November 20th at 3pm PT and runs through Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm PT. During this time, Tapas readers are invited to purchase Ink (in-app coins), which can then be used to Support (aka tip) the creators of their favorite series. Every “drop of Ink” that is given to any creator on Tapas goes solely to the creator, and this year they have a goal of 20 million drops.

And because it is, indeed, the season giving, in the spirit of the holiday, for each Ink drop goal that Tapas reaches due to contributions from supporters, a percentage of the Ink will be given back to readers. (Be advised, only Ink that is given in Support will count towards the goal; Ink that is used to unlock episodes will not count.) If Tapas reaches their goal of 20 million drops of Ink, readers will receive 20% of their contributions back after 30 days!

Readers are encouraged to bank their Ink now and wait for the event’s official launch at 3pm PT on November 20th. Only Ink contributed during the 48 hours of the event will be counted towards the goal.

Inkgiving is a community-driven event all about celebrating the diverse voices, stories, and creators that have found a home on Tapas. All members of the Tapas community, from readers to creators to staff, are encouraged to participate and support creators by giving Ink. After all, Tapas would not be Tapas without its hard-working creators!

This event is open to all creators on the platform, but standard rules still apply for the Support program. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
