D23 Expo Returns to Anaheim July 2017
Disney announced today the return of D23 Expo in 2017! The dates are July 14-16, 2017 and the event will take place at Anaheim Convention Center.
D23 Expo is the ultimate Disney fan experience as it is their own convention that combines theme parks, Marvel, television, Star Wars, and more. Like most other conventions, the opportunity to shop on an exhibit floor and see favorite celebrities in panels will be in full supply, so be sure to start saving your dollars now!
Advance tickets for the event will go on sale starting July 14, 2016, so there is still tons of time to plan after you nab your tickets. D23 members (the official Disney fan club) will once again receive special ticket pricing, although ticket prices have not yet been announced.
From Disney’s press release:
Highlights planned for D23 Expo include the Disney Legends Ceremony, which honors the talented men and women who have made significant contributions to the Disney legacy; an all-new exhibit curated by the Walt Disney Archives; D23 Expo’s costume contest, Mousequerade, showcasing the most creative designs by fans;the D23 Expo Emporium, where Disney fans can buy, sell, and trade Disney collectibles, memorabilia, merchandise, and more; and the D23 Expo Design Challenge. (Details on the Design Challenge andMousequerade will be forthcoming.)
As a huge Disney fan (and a D23 member), I am SO excited for this event! I love hearing all the Disney news that gets announced, and they usually have some pretty awesome news, artwork, and gear around the theme parks. Last year’s event also included lots of celebrity guests including Ginnifer Goodwin, Chris Evans, Harrison Ford, and Johnny Depp. Although no guests have been announced yet for 2017, you can be sure that there will be lots of fan favorites.
If you are planning on attending, be sure to visit D23Expo.com for more information and to purchase tickets once they go on sale.
